Leonardo's POV
"Hahaha..."
Camila burst into laughter. "You've lost your edge! My little great-nephews are the real heartbreakers now."
"Tell me about it!" I shot back, knowing damn well Grandma was dying to meet her great-grandchildren.
The whole Nelson crew had shown up: Camila, Hunt, Norma, plus the second branch—Gregory, Whitney, and Kathrine, along with Tooker and Burton. Everyone was working the room, playing host.
Hunt made his way over to me. "Leonardo, word is you've got Veronica and two other kids now. That for real?"
"Any reason to doubt it?" I replied, not bothering to hide the smugness in my voice.
"Congrats, man," Hunt said, and I could tell he meant it. Since his crush Veronica had kids with me, the poor guy probably just hoped we'd patch things up soon.
"Thanks. Now go handle the guests."
I turned to leave, and maybe it was because I was in a decent mood today, but Hunt seemed to pick up on the shift. The ice-cold hostility wasn't there anymore.
