Leonardo's POV
I pulled my luxury car into a parking spot outside the basketball arena, glancing at Mindy and little Annick in the rearview mirror before stepping out. Opening the door for them felt automatic, though I knew the truth—without my daughter, I never would've driven here myself, much less prepared those two specially-made milk teas sitting in the cup holders.
Mindy seemed surprised by the gesture, but her face brightened instantly. She accepted the milk tea and helped Annick climb out.
Annick looked adorable in her red dress and small mask, clutching that windmill she carried everywhere. The thing never left her side.
"Come on, the game's about to start," I said, gesturing toward the entrance.
"Okay!" Mindy and Annick fell into step beside me as we headed into the arena.
I guided them to our predetermined seats, which—not by accident—sat directly across from Veronica's section. Only the basketball court separated us.
