"I know Nina and Whitney have a good relationship, otherwise, Nina wouldn't have invested in VIG. So, I'm not here to beg Nina for pity or to have her side with me. I want to make a deal with you, Nina," I said, keeping my tone steady and assured.
Nina studied me for several moments before breaking into laughter. "Heh, maybe the Nelson family gave you a massive settlement when you got divorced, but I don't accept bribes!"
She assumed I was attempting to buy her off with cash or expensive gifts.
Most people would figure that after my split from Leonardo, I'd walk away with hefty compensation. But I didn't bother explaining, just shook my head. "My bargaining chip has nothing to do with money or valuables."
"Oh? Now I'm curious. What exactly does Veronica want to trade with me?" Nina asked, leaning forward with interest.
"Of course, I'm offering you what you care about most."
"What do you mean?"
