Leonardo's POV
The voice on the other end went quiet for a beat, then snapped back with obvious irritation, "Put Veronica on the phone!"
"Like hell I will! Back off and quit bothering my woman!" I shot back, ending the call and blocking his number in one swift motion.
Veronica shot me an exasperated look. "What exactly are you doing?"
"Handling some guy who won't leave you alone. This Harvey character—you really think he doesn't want more from you?" I made my position crystal clear. No one was getting between us.
"He's been nothing but kind to me and the children. He even treats my son as if he were his own," she said quietly, her tone thoughtful.
"That makes him even more of a threat! He's trying to slide into my role, become a stepfather to my child. Shouldn't the biological father get a say?" I wasn't backing down on this. Veronica and our kids belonged with me—period.
"You're acting like a child!" she teased, though I caught the hint of amusement in her voice.
