Veronica's POV
"This..." The waitress hesitated, clearly uncomfortable.
"What's with the delay? Do you want to lose your job? Should I get your manager over here?" Liana's voice cut through the air like a blade.
Juliette couldn't take it anymore. "Hold on! Being a VIP doesn't make you queen of the world. First come, first served! We got here first, so we're taking that VIP room!"
"I'm a VIP at NO.8, and you're nobody! You don't get to act all high and mighty with me!" Liana's sneer made my skin crawl.
She whipped back to face the waitress. "I want that room! Are you deaf?"
"Miss, please respect the policy. They arrived before you," the waitress tried to keep her voice steady.
I watched Heath's face change as he got a front-row seat to Liana's real personality. The disgust in his eyes was obvious. No surprise there - this was exactly the kind of person who'd made my life hell before.
