Leonardo's POV
"Get him to the cops. They can use Caleb to tear apart this trafficking network," I commanded.
Aarav gave a sharp nod. "Copy that."
Caleb's phone would go to the authorities too. His woman and kid weren't our problem—I left two of my guys to watch them until the police showed up.
I walked Veronica toward the villa's exit. Halfway there, she stopped and looked at me with those piercing eyes.
"Your vision... it's back to normal?"
"Yeah."
Something warm spread through my chest. She actually gave a damn about me. That simple question hit me harder than I expected.
"Thank you."
Her gratitude seemed genuine, and I could tell she meant it. She was really grateful I'd helped track down Carl.
"Don't sweat it. I'd do anything for you."
I locked eyes with her, feeling the air between us shift. Something was changing. She was warming up to me, even if her stubborn nature wouldn't let her show it easily.
