Leonardo's POV
"Alright then!"
I went to change my clothes, gave Hardy a quick greeting, and headed out of the dojo with Veronica.
When we reached the forest outskirts in the southern suburbs, police cars sat parked near the treeline. Yellow tape blocked off the area, with two officers maintaining the perimeter.
After checking in with the police, Veronica and I trailed the officers into the deeper woods.
Lachlan and several team members were already working inside the forest. Two officers were digging methodically. They'd exposed a substantial pit, and the officers were carefully removing soil, slowly revealing skeletal remains in the center.
"Lachlan!" Veronica shouted.
Lachlan turned around. "Perfect timing. We've cleared away the dirt and uncovered a skeleton. The forensic doctor should arrive soon for the examination!"
