Chapter 4 - Chapter 4: Gathering in Loguetown

Fourteen years ago, Kano, who had only been in this world for a year at that time, understood his situation and realized that this world was not the Middle Ages, but the world of One Piece.

A nightmare had started.

God Valley.

This was Kano's birthplace and a place that had now disappeared from all records.

Of the entire population of the island, plus the slaves brought by the Celestial Dragons, there were a lot of people there.

In the end, only the few people saved by Kuma survived.

An abysmal survival rate was what he had encountered as a one-year-old baby at the time.

As for the reason... the Celestial Dragons had chosen this place for their three-year hunting expedition and held a killing competition with the people and slaves of the God Valley as prey.

It was such a ridiculous reason that later caused the entire island to be wiped from history for reasons that needed to be erased.

If Ginny hadn't used a loophole to bring out the news two weeks in advance, if it hadn't been for the chaos after the Rocks Pirates arrived, if it hadn't been for Kuma eating the Paw-Paw Fruit at the last moment...

Then Kano was certain he wouldn't be here now.

He would have been pierced by a sword and perished.

Bartholomew Kuma, one of the future Seven Warlords of the Sea…

After rescuing five hundred people from the God Valley, he and Ginny raised Kano in the Sorbet kingdom in the South Blue.

For Kano, these two people were among the most important presences in his life.

The latest episode of One Piece that he had read before he transmigrated had told him about the future of Kuma and Ginny.

Ten years from now, Ginny, already the commander of the Eastern Army of the Revolutionary Army, would be abducted by a certain Celestial Dragon.

Later, she would be used by Saint Saturn for some kind of experiment and contract an incurable disease called Sapphire Scale, which would also be passed on to the child she would bring down from Mary Geoise... Jewelry Bonney.

At that point, it would trigger a series of tragedies.

It might not be difficult for Kano to change what would happen ten years later.

He could avoid it by keeping an eye on Ginny or canceling the rendezvous operation.

But it was entirely random.

Sapphire Scale disease emerged as a result of a specific experiment, and it raised more questions than answers.

He was still in deep thought about this.

Just as the sky brightened slightly, a yellow cloud quickly swept across the sky and returned to Ridgemouth Town.

Kano's shadow clone had returned to the dormitory at midnight, and everyone along the way greeted him as usual, without anything unusual.

After having a meal in the cafeteria, he said hello to Colonel Lomi, took an official document, and boarded the warship in the port.

Ridgemouth Town was not far from the special passage, and the caravans needed to line up, but the Navy did not.

However, they would arrive at Loguetown at the foot of Reverse Mountain four days later.

Four days later, Loguetown Port.

At this time, densely packed warships were already docked here.

It seemed that even though Roger had surrendered, the World Government and the Navy were still extremely vigilant about his execution.

There were so many people...

The crowds of spectators and those who came here specially, as well as the Navy passing by in groups on the street, all made Loguetown the focus of the world's attention at this moment.

Loguetown Navy Branch.

After submitting his document, Kano met one of Colonel Lomi's contacts: Vice Admiral Kuzan, who wore an eye mask and a pair of sunglasses.

'This network of connections was really quite impressive...'

In addition to Admiral Zephyr, who was currently serving as the elite instructor at Headquarters, and this Kuzan, he could possibly have two generations of admirals on his side.

"Kano?"

"Here. Kano of the West Blue Ridgemouth Branch."

Kuzan nodded.

"Good spirit. I heard that you like to execute pirates, and you also applied for Roger's execution this time. Can you tell me why?"

Kuzan put down the document and looked over to him.

"You should know very well that Roger, who is known as the Pirate King, still has crew members who haven't been arrested yet. In this case, the executioner will have to be very careful after this. He may be targeted for retaliation. These guys… They're not the same as the pirate groups you met in the West Blue."

Kano replied, "If I were to be afraid because of the unknown, I'd be ashamed to meet my dead relatives in the afterlife."

After finishing his words, Kuzan raised his head slightly and looked at the fifteen-year-old boy his friend had introduced.

His friend was not just a casual who had only seen the West Blue. Someone who could be called a monster by him was worthy of investigation.

After all, in the elite class at Headquarters years ago, the only one who could be regarded as a monster was himself, Kuzan.

"Kuzan. That's my name."

"In addition, I've already submitted the report recommending you as the executioner. The execution time is three days from now. And after three days, I'll stay on this island for another week."

Kano looked over doubtfully.

Kuzan continued, "I believe you saw when you arrived that many people are coming to Loguetown to watch the execution, and there are many big pirates among them. Many strong ones too."

"The execution of Pirate King Roger is to intimidate more and more pirates. The purpose is to let them watch the execution. But in this way, you'll be in danger."

After the execution, as the unknown person from the West Blue who executed the Pirate King Roger, there was no telling how many people would want Kano's head.

Kuzan wanted to see if this little guy, who was called a monster by his old friend, could survive.

In his temporary residence, Kano stood in front of the window and looked at the street, thinking about something.

Before the Ohara Buster Call incident, the twenty-five-year-old Kuzan still had a burning sense of justice, not lazy justice.

As for the Roger Pirates...

Whether it was Rayleigh or the others, after Laugh Tale, they knew everything and respected Roger's choice.

So after Roger's execution, he would only have to face some pirates who wanted to use him to become famous.

At that time, Roger's soul would enter the prison, and if he wanted to quickly extract his sin value, only the place in Passage 1 could do it.

Passage 1, rather than a cell, was more appropriately called a dormitory.

The benefits of executing Roger in his plan were not just about the sin value…

In addition... Loguetown was now gathering a group of incredible people.

The future Seven Warlords of the Sea, the Four Emperors, and the leaders of the Revolutionary Army.

Dragon was not easy to find, and for safety reasons, the shadow clone needed to be in the open.

"I need to go out for a walk."

Kano packed up his things, then left the branch.

After asking about the largest tavern in Loguetown, he went there directly.

Kuzan, who had already started to observe Kano, was a little confused when he learned that the first thing this guy did after unpacking was to go drink.

This kid... didn't he understand what he meant?
