Chapter 1 - THE LAST PARAGON'S GAMBLE

The final war against the Apocalyptical Entities had turned the land into a burned-out scar. Aiden Revale—too weak to stand among the elites—fought from the rear lines, slashing desperately through lesser beasts. Despite being one of the weakest soldiers, his killing intent burned hotter than anyone on that battlefield. His resentment toward the Entities was unmatched, carved deep into his soul.

At the center of the battlefield, the five Paragons, the strongest existence humanity had ever produced, clashed with the Apocalyptical Entities of equivalent rank. Their battle shook the sky itself.

But in the middle of that clash… the unthinkable happened.

Two Paragons betrayed humanity.

Without warning, they struck down their comrades from behind—clean, efficient, merciless. The two ambushed Paragons fell before they even understood what happened.

In a heartbeat, the strongest surviving Paragon—Ineb, the pinnacle of humanity—found himself standing alone against seven Apocalyptical Entities: five enemies and two traitors.

It was impossible.

He would not survive.

Knowing this, Ineb made a decision only a true Paragon could make.

He released his Human Spirit, the crystallized essence of his life, power, and soul. Then, with no hesitation, he self-destructed—obliterating himself and the traitors, buying humanity a final chance.

The Human Spirit—glowing, conscious, searching—ascended from the explosion, drifting across the battlefield like a falling star.

It scanned through thousands of soldiers, thousands of dying humans… until it found Aiden.

Not because Aiden was strong.

But because his hatred, his resolve, his refusal to bend even in weakness… made him shine brighter than every dying soldier on that field.

Aiden Revale was chosen.

The spirit descended, fusing into his soul. Power—ancient, overwhelming, limitless—flooded him.

But he never had a chance to use it.

The remaining Apocalyptical Entities, enraged by Ineb's sacrifice, unleashed a world-erasing attack on the human army.

Everything disappeared in a blinding white light.

And Aiden died.

But when he opened his eyes…

He wasn't on a battlefield.

He wasn't bleeding.

He wasn't dying.

He was lying on his bed.

In his old room.

The room he lived in at 20 years old.

Young again.

Alive.

Breathing.

And carrying the memories, power, and spirit of the last Paragon humanity ever had.
