Chapter 3 - Craving the Tide

The sea was restless, waves crashing like whispered warnings. Her heart thumped in her chest—fast, chaotic, alive. Every moment with Riven left her breathless, every glance, every brush of his presence making her stomach spin.

"Why does he make me feel like this?" she thought, gripping a handful of sand, yet unable to pull away. Her heartbeat echoed in her ears—too fast, too wild, too alive.

Riven's eyes held hers, dark and magnetic, centuries of secrets swirling in their depths.

"You feel it too," he murmured, low and velvet. "The pull between us… impossible to ignore."

A shiver ran through her, every nerve alight, every sense focused entirely on him.

He stepped closer, deliberate, fluid, magnetic. His hand slid into hers, fingers entwining effortlessly.

"You're mine… if only you'd let me," he whispered, leaning just close enough to radiate heat.

Her lips parted. The butterflies exploded, her heart seemed to skip beats in a rhythm only he could command.

Riven's face lowered, lips hovering dangerously close. The world seemed to hold its breath—the waves, the wind, even the shadow lurking nearby paused.

"Close your eyes," he breathed, cupping her cheek gently. "Trust me."

Her eyelids fluttered shut. Her entire body tingled, heart pounding like a drum. This is wrong… yet… it feels so right.

His lips met hers. Sparks ignited. Butterflies collided with fire, desire, and fear, all at once. The kiss was soft yet commanding, a forbidden dance on the edge of danger.

Her hands trembled against his chest, feeling the controlled, dangerous strength beneath her fingertips.

The ocean responded, waves swirling around them as if drawn to their energy. Riven deepened the kiss slightly, just enough to steal her breath, yet keeping perfect control.

"You're everything… and the tide brought you to me for a reason," he whispered, teeth grazing gently—a tease, a claim, a promise.

Her knees weakened. She could barely stand, yet she didn't pull away. Thrill, danger, and forbidden heat intoxicated her.

Suddenly, silver eyes glinted from the shore's edge. The shadow moved closer, silent, elegant, threatening.

Riven lifted his head slightly, lips still brushing hers. "Stay close," he warned. "I won't let anyone harm you."

She felt his protection, his power, his devotion. Every nerve ached for him, every heartbeat sang for him. Yet, danger loomed.

The first forbidden kiss ended, soft, lingering, electrifying. Foreheads rested together, breaths mingling, hearts racing in sync.

The ocean roared, the storm returned, and the shadow's silver eyes gleamed:

"This is only the beginning…"..
