I regained my conscious seconds later due to being almost at the brink of death, i was drowning in pool of water that i was using to wash my face just now, my mind took a few seconds to regain back its clarity, luckily the water in the pool wasn't deep, or else i could have really died just now .
I came out of the water, completely wet and cold all over, the headache which was the reason why i became like this in the first place still hadn't gone away, but thanks to the sudden cold shower, i was beginning to feel that it got a bit better .
As if being hit by a truck and walking up in the complete nowhere wasn't enough, i was about to drown as well, just why weird things kept happening to me, i almost cried out loud, if not for the fact that i was currently breathing heavily due to almost suffocating seconds ago .
After i was finally able to calm down, i once again looked at my reflection in the water and saw the exact same face as before, i began touch my face and saw that the reflection in the water did the, clearing all my doubts and unlocking new fears in me, i was finally able to concluded two things .
First that i was now looking like the reflection in the water or it was looking like me, second i might indeed have been experimented on, i never saw myself having Asian facial features, not to mention having a completely Asian face, but at least he was handsome so i guess that was some kind of a bonus .
My face in the reflection now had a quite frightened expression, i had a long dark hair that almost covered my ears, my eyebrows are thick and sharply arched, my red eyes were currently narrowed down in confusion and wariness, my skin was fair, and to sum it up my face now had facial features that were sharp and well-defined, this together with the change of my body build had me looking like a complete different person .
My whole body was currently shaking due to two reasons, first it was the fact that i now understand that whoever did experiment on me and changed my face and body like this, they must be close by or they might even be watching me right this instant, so how i could be able to stay calm .
The second reason was actually quite simple, my clothes and whole body were now soaked and the winds currently were quite chilly, i had the idea to return back to the hut from before, but decided against it .
First, i don't know when the owner of the hut will come back and what will his reaction be to find me there or the unconscious body of that other guy, from what i was able to gain from the conversation those guys were having outside the door, i can tell that the owner of the hut seemed to be quite a good fighter, so the wise thing to do was to not anger such a strong person .
Suddenly my head began to once again hurt like crazy, then a few foreign images and memories began to assault my brain, forcing me to clutch my head with all the strength that i currently had, luckily the torturing pain didn't last for long before it began to recede in the same sudden manner as it appeared .
I raised my hands from my head and put them in front of me and stared at them, they were much stronger than i remembered, but that wasn't the reason that i was looking at them for, i was looking at them involuntarily as if marveling at something out of custom, something new, something crazy .
The sudden images and memories that assaulted my brain just now gave me a few information about what was going on here, even though i still didn't want to believe that myself, the good news that i can confirm that no one was currently watching me or keeping an eye on me, the bad news were that things were much worse than i thought them to be at first .
The shaking in my body hadn't stopped, but i was able to gather enough strength to get up and head back towards the hut i was in before, as it was currently the safest place that i could go to .
As i was walking, i had empty eyes and opened wide mouth, i was the definition of a person who saw a ghost .
As i reached to the hut, i pulled the corpse of the guy still on the ground absent-mindedly and throw him out of the hut, i then returned back to sleep on the bed made of straws, muttering the same four words " please be a dream " over and over and over, while closing my eyes and even going to the extent of covering my eyes with my hands .
Suddenly and just as i was beginning to believe that i was living a dream and drilling that thought in my mind forcefully if needed, a movement in the room suddenly jolted me awake to see that i was in the same barren place as before, i looked to the side of me, towards where that strange noise sounded from just now and saw a rodent holding in mouth what appeard to be a shabby piece of jerky, something in my mind screamed at me to go and stop him from getting away with that piece of meat .
At this strange thought, my stomach as well began to make some weird noise as if agreeing was that suggestion, i was able to understand the sounds that my stomach was making, all the running forth and back made me quite hungry, adding a new emotion to the mix of emotions, i was currently going through .
I felt as if i had lost my mind, but my body still acted as it was instructed, i sprinted towards the rodent that was about to enter his hole happily and caught up to it, if he wasn't arrogant enough to walk as if he owned the place, he could have escaped from my sight a long time ago, i caught from its tail and raised it up, for some reason the rodent in front of me seemed to look like the most delicious meal in the world now .
Recipes of how to cook him appeard in my mind, i have a bit of background about how to cook, due to living alone from a quite young age, but the recipes in my mind now were quite new to me, after all i never tasted what a rodent tasted like, but the guy who previously owned this body really was rodent meat lover .
Yes, the previous owner of this body loved this sort of meat the most, but i wasn't the previous owner of this body, i got the piece of jerky out of the talons of the rodent, i was surprised that rodent here have this sharp talons, i got a few scratches just trying to get my piece of jerky out of his talons, he seemed to want to fight me to death for it, i got it out of his hands and then threw him away .
After he dropped to the ground, i saw that he still had no intention to leave, he kept staring at the jerky in my hand intently, suddenly i heard a few more noise coming from the hole and i saw that 4 to 5 rodent babies were now looking through the hole, noticing me looking at them, they cowered in fear and began to retreat .
I thought to myself that this was the reason to why the father rodent was trying to get this piece of jerky so bad, i split a piece of the jerky almost splitting it evenly between me and the rodent and throw it on the ground .
( The next dialogue completely went on the head of the Mc, you can skip it if you want ) .
( The rodent looked at me and said :
Thank you for your kindness, dear sir, you are a true hero .
" Don't say things like that, i did what any person would have done in my place, but you can at least ask next time before you steal someone last meal like that .
I will sure put that in mind, sorry for bothering you when you were resting, again thank you, me and my babies are indebted to you, see you later .

I'm really beginning to feel that i have become crazy, i just imagined that rodent thank me for giving him food, but what happened in truth was that damn rodent actually swallowed the piece i gave him whole and went directly to the hole .
I was still able to hear the squeaks of his babies for a long time after that as if blaming him for being so selfish, i was beginning to think that it would have been better for me to stew him, but sadly the previous owner already sold everything that was of value in the house, the stew, the wardrobe, even the mat he had put under the bed, so that it make the bed warmer in the cold night of winter were not spared .
To say that i was currently sane human being that would be quite far from the truth, i was currently numb to all things and everything, i got to understand what happened to me, but that was exactly the reason to why i was somewhat certain that i might really have lost my mind .
I had transmigrated into the body of the guy that those guys were searching for, Tian Long, the face i saw in the water reflection earlier was what triggered my memories or his memories to surface and assault my brain, forcing me to endure a terrible headache, it was gone now, both the headache and the consciousness of the previous owner of this body, he was now dead, more precisely killed .

I was in a new world similar to the ancient world of china that you would read about in novels or fantasy books, an ancient feudal chinese kind of world, at least that what i could label him as after seeing the few amount of memories that i was to process and to some extent comprehend .
So i was now supposed to live as a guy named Tian Long from now on, i didn't want to believe this, but the reality was right in front of me, i didn't know who was responsible for this happening to me, but whoever was responsible for this, i curse him to have a wife .
I was supposed to live in a world that doesn't have internet, any kind means of comfort and what even worse, i was a family slave, not a named servant like the previous guys who got all their family names changed to Lu, becoming a servant to the family and agreeing to serve the family for a lifetime .
At least my precessor didn't agree to change his surname and tying himself to the a lifetime of servitude, so that was partially good, but also partially bad, not willing to change your surname meant that you will always being looked down upon as an outsider by the upper echelon in the family and even by the other servants lower echelon .
The first didn't care much about dealing with someone as low class as me, a slave, but that wasn't the case with the latter, the family servants, even though those guys hadn't gained any but a little bit more of privileges compared to family slaves such as myself, but one of those privileges they had over us in general or me and another person in particular, yes only two people didn't change their surnames me and a guy going by the name Lin Dong .
That privilege was that if they contributions were recognized by the family, they might get the chance to be elevated and get assigned to do easier tasks with more handsome reward for them by the family, they might even get elevated to become a normal family member, but their status as servants will remain .

From my precessor memories, i got to know that he seemed to have angered the guy that those guys from before kept calling Deacon Lu, in my memories he seemed to be an obese middle aged man with medium brown skin tone, narrowed shifty looking black eyes, he got a long nose, plump lips and receding chins, a thick eyebrows and a long mustache that was connected to a goatee, he appeared to be a crafty figure in a bad way .
The reason for the conflict between the original Tian Long and this Deacon Lu was due to fact that this Deacon Lu coveted the 4 taels of silver that he got news about them being in the hand of Tian Long, he even asked for them directly, but the previous Tian Long told him that he didn't have them no longer and that he had spent them on buying resources for training .
The man whose full name was Lu Si didn't buy that excuse even a little, but due to not wanting to make an unnecessary scene at that time, a month later after that happened, it was the time for the monthly allowance to be given out, he used the excuse that he needed help and the person who was unlucky to be picked by him with none other than Tian Long .
The previous Tian Long tried hard to deny using all sorts of excuses, like being internally injured, but then tha masses that were waiting to get their monthly allowance began to criticize him harshly, he was forced to submit to the criticize, wanting to keep some of his face, but that was a wrong move on his part, but i couldn't blame him, i wouldn't have made the same decision, i could have asked anyone to step in my shoes and the matter would have been solved .
The moment they entered the room where the silver taels were stored in, he once again asked Tian Long to hand out the 4 taels of silver to him, but he seeing that there was no possibility to find a way out of this, he decided that he would just hand him the silver, but even though it was a wise move .
The middle aged man in front of him suddenly attacked him in a sudden and supernatural manner punching him in the chest and in the crotch, the punch that was aimed at his chest was parried, but the attack on the crotch area was a success, then Tian Long collapsed on the floor and the last thing he felt and heard before losing consciousness, was the middle aged man rummaging through his body and clothes, while yelling a thief being in the room .
But that wasn't what killed, he got severely injured, he was able to regain conscious the next day and saw that he was completely handcuffed and put in a cage in the sun, he was notified by the law enforcement team members, something similar to the security or police back in my old world, he was notified by them of what he already know .
He was framed of stealing from the Family and unfortunately or fortunately for him, the yelling of Deacon Lu was heard by the law enforcement elder passing by, after asking about the circumstances of the incident, he judged him guilty of theft, but instead of executing him like usual, he actually sentenced him to 40 lashes .
Those 40 lashes together with his original injuries, were what really killed the original Tian Long and had me becoming the new owner of this body, from now on i will go by Tian Long .
