Jojo wiped his tears that kept falling and tried to touch his father's face again. "D-Daddy, is that really you? P-please don't hurt Sisi, okay?"
Kael sensed that something was amiss. He frowned and stared straight into Jojo's golden eyes. "Jojo, can you see me right now?"
Jojo shook his head. "I can't see anything, Daddy…"
Kael's heart sank the moment he heard that. This was the first time Jojo had manifested as the Dawn Star, and there had never been any reports from previous eras of the Dawn Star being blind.
Was this a side effect because Jojo was too young? Or was this simply Jojo awakening his power in a bizarre way? Kael remembered how he awakened his own power when he was only five, and all he could feel was a burning sensation all over his body, leaving him restless and in constant agony.
"D-Daddy, how about Sisi? Is she alright? She—she fainted the last time I saw her!" Jojo asked as he tried to reach for Sisi's hand.
