In the beginning, The Divine made the heavens and the earth.
And all that dwelt within them, they made. In Its image, It created. The sky and its stars. The air and the birds. The land and its beasts. The cherubim and seraphim. The thrones and heralds.
Last, and most curious, It shaped Mortalkind— without wings, naked, lives brief as candle flames, and beloved beyond measure.
And there was Lucifer, the Morning Star, who loved The Divine with a heart so vast he thought it could contain the entirety of that love. He believed he knew Its heart better than any other, and in his pride, he coveted that love for himself alone. But The Divine is boundless, Its love endless and pouring forth upon all creation, especially upon its fragile, final work.
