Chapter 1 - Misconduct After Drinking

Sun Zhewen awoke from his slumber, a numb sensation in his arm. He instinctively moved, but was instantly jolted awake. He realized the woman in his arms was none other than his goddess, his superior – Chen Qingyan, the chairwoman of the Women's Federation of Jiangcheng County. Adding another layer of complexity, she was also the County Party Secretary's wife.

Cold sweat immediately broke out on Sun Zhewen's body, soaking his entire back. His mind raced, replaying the events of the previous night, each scene flashing like a movie. The Women's Federation party was still fresh in his memory. As the only man there, he'd hoped to shine in front of his female colleagues, but instead, he'd been relentlessly teased by the older women. They'd been so persistent that he'd almost been forced to strip. To preserve his dignity, Sun Zhewen gritted his teeth and downed a bottle of Laojiao. Luckily, he had a decent tolerance, which helped him hold it together.

When Chairwoman Chen came over to offer a toast, Sun Zhewen, fueled by alcohol, grabbed her and poured out his woes. He lamented the difficulties of his job and the trivial annoyances of life. Perhaps his genuine feelings touched Chairwoman Chen, or perhaps the alcohol was taking its effect, but she ended up drinking two shots of Baijiu at his insistence. If the others hadn't intervened, he probably would have made her drink the whole bottle. Fortunately, Chairwoman Chen was a woman of good character and didn't hold it against him, even offering him a few words of comfort.

After the party, Chairwoman Chen offered to take Sun Zhewen home. But he was so drunk he could barely speak, and he didn't even tell her where he lived. In the end, Chairwoman Chen had no choice but to take him to a hotel.

In the hotel room, Sun Zhewen continued to share his emotional burdens with Chairwoman Chen. He spoke of his lost first love, the loves he couldn't have, and as he spoke, he poured out his heart with tears. Chairwoman Chen, under the influence of alcohol, was also moved by his emotions and couldn't help but share her own troubles. It turned out that despite her glamorous appearance, Chairwoman Chen also had many frustrations and grievances in her marriage. The two, feeling a shared sense of misfortune, driven by the alcohol and their shared empathy, naturally crossed the line.

Sun Zhewen looked at Chen Qingyan sleeping peacefully in his arms, his heart filled with mixed emotions. Everything from the previous night flashed through his mind like a dream. He carefully pulled out his arm, trying not to wake her. However, Chen Qingyan opened her eyes slightly, her gaze filled with a touch of haziness and confusion.

"You're awake?" Chen Qingyan's voice was hoarse, but it carried a hint of tenderness.

Sun Zhewen quickly concealed his inner nervousness, stammering, "Chairwoman Chen… uh, Sister Chen, last night we…"

Chen Qingyan sighed softly, sat up, and smoothed her disheveled hair. "Xiao Sun, about last night... we both drank too much." A complex emotion flickered in her eyes, as if she were recalling the events of the previous night.

Sun Zhewen, like a child who had made a mistake, immediately lowered his head to admit his fault: "Chairman, I was wrong."

Chen Qingyan's lips curled up slightly: "Aren't you going to get up?" Her voice carried a hint of authority, yet it wasn't without gentleness.

Sun Zhewen didn't dare to delay for a moment, and immediately finished dressing in three seconds flat. His speed made Chen Qingyan couldn't help but laugh.

"Don't tell anyone about last night, or we're both dead." Chen Qingyan tapped Sun Zhewen's forehead lightly with her finger, her voice soft, but with an undeniable air of command.

"Yes, yes, yes." Sun Zhewen responded repeatedly, knowing full well that either of the two identities this woman held could ruin him in Jiangcheng County.

Chen Qingyan smiled and then said, "Come here, help me get dressed. Don't think you're getting off so easily." A hint of cunning was in her smile, like a cat that had caught its prey.

Sun Zhewen was somewhat surprised, but still obediently walked over and carefully helped her put on her clothes. His hands trembled slightly, afraid of accidentally angering this woman. Chen Qingyan's skin was fair and delicate, like fine porcelain, making him feel a sense of tenderness.

Chen Qingyan touched his face, her tone softening slightly. "We need to be more careful in the future, alright?" Her eyes were gentle, but with a hint of seriousness, as if she were dealing with a mischievous child.

"We have a future?" Sun Zhewen asked in surprise. He had thought last night was just a one-off thing, but he hadn't expected Chen Qingyan to want to continue.

"Do you want one?" Chen Qingyan looked at him with a half-smile, a hint of cunning in her eyes.

"Yes." Sun Zhewen blurted it out almost without thinking. He knew it wasn't right, but he couldn't suppress his desire. After all, Chen Qingyan was a beauty, a famous beauty in Jiangcheng County.

Chen Qingyan nodded in satisfaction and continued, "You go first. After you get to the office, come find me. I have something to tell you."

"Okay," Sun Zhewen wouldn't dare to disagree.

Just as Sun Zhewen turned to leave, Chen Qingyan suddenly called out, "Wait."

Sun Zhewen turned around, looking at her with confusion. "Sister Qingyan."

He saw Chen Qingyan close her eyes, tilting her head, waiting for him. He leaned down and gently kissed her. Chen Qingyan opened her eyes, her expression one of greed. After a long moment, she released him and softly said, "You go first."

Sun Zhewen, a graduate of Political Science and Law University, had taken a position at the Procuratorate in Jiangcheng County six years ago after graduation. Full of hope, he had thought he could make a name for himself in this role, but he never expected to be replaced. Because his written exam score was the highest, he was assigned to the Women's Federation as a small clerk. Now, six years had passed, and he was still just a junior staff member. What was even more ridiculous was that the person who handled this matter back then was Liu Qunqi, the County Party Secretary of Jiangcheng County, and Liu Qunqi was the husband of Chen Qingyan, the director of the Women's Federation. Last night, Sun Zhewen had gotten a small bit of revenge.

He had no connections in the government, and his family had been farmers for generations, so they couldn't help him either. He had to come to this world where there were no men. In his daily life, he was basically the one who changed water, replaced light bulbs, fixed computers, and unclogged the drains. Sun Zhewen had become the Women's Federation's "handyman," but he knew in his heart that these tasks were the only way he felt he existed there.

Sun Zhewen arrived at the office, feeling a little uneasy. Occasionally, when someone called his name, it made him nervous, fearing that they would ask about him and the director. He pretended to be busy with paperwork, not even daring to look up. The Women's Federation didn't have much to do; it was basically a place where these women could retire. These were basically all officials' wives, and Sun Zhewen couldn't afford to offend any of them.

Sun Zhewen left his office and looked around, making sure no one was watching him. Then, like a thief, he quickly slipped into the director's office. His heart was pounding, as if every step was hitting a drumbeat. He gently pushed open the door and peeked inside, seeing Chen Qingyan sitting behind her desk, her eyes filled with a hint of playfulness.

"Close the door," she said softly, her voice as gentle as the spring breeze.
