Floch exclaimed with excitement.

Floch nodded his head.
—Yes but I'm more interested in seeing the techniques some are amazing and others are really beautiful.
—But the techniques can be deadly right? What will happen if the fight gets dangerous?.
—The masters step in but I don't think that will happen it's just about leaving the opponent unable to keep fighting.
—First fight: Valeria Montoro vs Olivia de Jonge.—The teacher in charge announced.
—The first fight is about to start Terr!.
The two girls went down to the battle arena and opened the fights with their first attacks using techniques.
Floch got excited as he watched their first attacks.
—Did you see that? Terrmomix! How beautiful!.
A technique slash hit the wall below them making their seats shake a little.
—Oh my goodness!—Floch exclaimed as he hugged Terrmomix.
Terrmomix didn't even move he didn't look away or show any expression.
Arien looked at Terrmomix for a few seconds from his seat.
—Mmm... That boy... He has the same expressionless face as Kael but the difference is that this new boy's eyes have no shine or show any emotion... Interesting.
Kenzo was hugging his knees while listening to the boys next to him talking.
—Who do you think will be top 1?—Boy 1 asked.
—I'm betting on Arien he's a monster in battle.—Boy 2 answered.
—What? Of course not Kael will be number one.
—Well what we do know is that those two will take the top two spots but what interests me most is who will take third place.
—I say it will be Rika.
—Yes you're right she's really strong too.
—Speaking of her don't you think she's very beautiful?.
Kenzo curled up more and nodded slowly as if the question had been for him.
—Yes she's extremely beautiful though I heard there's another girl just as beautiful as her.—Boy 2 said.

—They say Naeris I've never seen her but I doubt she's more beautiful than Rika.

From a balcony the masters were watching and supervising the students and the fights.
Professor Elion was standing to the director's right.
—It seems this year's students are very strong and interesting.
—Yes especially those two boys Arien and Kael.—Director Lion said.
Professor Mari who was standing to the director's left turned to an assistant.
—Is the invisible shield active? We don't want a stray attack to hurt the students.
The assistant nodded quickly.
—Yes the shield is active.
The director laughed softly.
—Perfect that way the kids can fight with everything without worrying about hurting anyone in the stands.
Professor Mari smiled.
—It seems the first fight is already over.
—THE FIRST FIGHT HAS ENDED AND THE WINNER IS... VALERIA MONTORO!.
The students applauded and Valeria's friends shouted with joy.
—Did you see that Terr! It was incredible!—Floch exclaimed as he pointed his finger at the winner.
—Yes at first Valeria was at a disadvantage but she was able to counter Olivia's attacks and take the lead.
—Yes that's what makes fights exciting you never know what will happen it's always unpredictable.
—So using that logic could Arien and Kael not be top 1?.
—Well there's a 98% chance that will happen but who knows maybe a 2% will surprise us.
SECOND FIGHT!.
Floch got excited again when he heard the announcement.
—Who will it be? Who will it be?.
FLOCH VS MADS NIELSEN.
Floch frowned.
—Damn it! Out of all the students it had to be me fighting second!.—He said angrily as he walked towards the arena entrance.
Behind Terrmomix two boys were talking about Floch.
—Floch? Why didn't they say his last name—Boy 1 asked.
—I have no idea it's the first time I've heard of him—Boy 2 said.
Terrmomix listened but stayed quiet now that he thought about it he had never asked him anything about himself.
Floch entered the battle arena on the other side Mads entered the two stood looking at each other but at a considerable distance.
BEGIN!.
Mads started unsheathing his katana.
—Won't you use your katana?—He asked Floch.
Floch stood still without moving his hand and with a smile.
—No it's not necessary.
—Are you underestimating me?.
—I wouldn't say that it's just that it's not necessary.
—So you ARE underestimating me! Or can you use your technique without a katana?
—That's impossible. What I mean is that I will defeat you with just my hands.
Kael looked confused at what Floch said.
—With just his hands? I think he's being too confident.
Liang leaned forward a little he was interested in Floch's words.
—I don't think so I feel like he has something that gives him all that confidence.
—An ability?—Zeik asked.
—Maybe it is an ability—Liang answered.
—Hey Matteo wake up—Kael said.
Matteo who was sitting next to Liang woke up suddenly.
—Huh? Is it my turn already?
—No but pay attention.
Arien laughed from his seat on the other side of the stands.
—I love his confidence.
Mads started to get angry he clenched his teeth.
—Damn it! How can you be so sure you can defeat me with just your hands?!.

Floch pointed to his right eye with his index finger.
—It's because of my eye. My ability. I can see the power level of my rivals and other people.
If their power is less than half of mine then I don't need to use my katana but if it's more than half or equal to mine then I do need to unsheathe it.
The stands fell silent even the professors and director were impressed by the ability.
Floch continued explaining.
—I also know if my rival's level is higher than mine which means I can't win.
—WHAT?! So he knows when he can win and when he can't?!.—Arien exclaimed.
Rika nodded her head.
—Yes that's exactly what he said he can avoid fights he knows he won't win.
—It's a very useful ability for survival—Haruki said.
Kenzo let out a long sigh.
—There are too many amazing and skilled boys here I'm way behind.
Floch thought to himself in the arena: I can defeat this one but... There are also too many boys here who are stronger than me in power.
Floch laughed.
—Though of course that's not always the case sometimes even if your level is higher than your opponent's if you get too confident you can lose.
He raised his index finger to continue explaining.
For example: in the previous fight Olivia had a higher level than Valeria but Olivia got confident for a second and let her guard down. Valeria took advantage of this and was able to counter Olivia's attacks strike and win. She won even though her rival had a higher level.
—AND DON'T YOU THINK YOU'RE DOING THE SAME THING?!.
—Nah you're too weak even if I got too confident you couldn't defeat me. Olivia and Valeria weren't that far apart in power but we're at completely different levels so it's impossible for you to defeat me.
Mads reached his limit of patience several knives started floating around him he was ready to attack.
