Chapter 6 - The Forbidden History

"Once," Winny began softly, her voice echoing slightly in the quiet room, "the world was whole. There was a time before the land was divided, before everything was broken. It all started with the king and queen, the rulers of humanity, who governed with unmatched wisdom. They were not just rulers; they were visionaries who led the world into a golden age of prosperity, enlightenment, and unity. The king and queen were known for their vast knowledge, and under their reign, the people flourished. They understood the forces that shaped the world and believed harmony between them was essential for lasting peace."

She paused, allowing the weight of her words to settle. She looked around the room to ensure everyone was listening.

"The king and queen couldn't control all the forces at once," Winny continued, her voice steady yet filled with a somber tone. "But they came from a bloodline carrying a rare and immense power that could change the world. This power was never fully realized, and the king and queen ruled wisely to maintain balance. The people saw their rulers as guardians of this power, keeping peace between the realms and ensuring no force grew too strong or weak. Their reign was a time of prosperity, but the balance they maintained was fragile. When the king and queen died, that balance broke."

She let the silence linger, inviting the weight of the past to settle in. Winny's tone grew more somber as she continued.

"The kingdom splintered. The world, once united under their reign, was torn apart. The lands split into five distinct realms, each with its own identity, shaped by the ideals and cultures that arose after the fall. The once-strong bonds between the lands faded into distant memories, leading the people to live in isolation, focusing only on their own survival. But over time, the cracks in their foundations began to show. The harmony they once enjoyed started to unravel."

Winny's gaze turned inward as she reflected on the history of the lands, speaking of each in turn.

"The first land to emerge after the fall was the Land of Lights. It was a realm where brilliance was key, a place that centered on innovation and discovery. The people of the Land of Lights were known for their advanced technologies and understanding of the stars. They built machines and wonders that could change the world. Their cities shone under a sky filled with artificial lights, serving as a beacon to the rest of the world. The people believed they were the shining example of what the world could become, and in their quest for progress, they neglected the needs of the other lands. Their obsession with light and discovery led to technologies that manipulated nature, which eventually began to take on a life of their own."

Her tone became more serious as she spoke about their downfall.

"But their light began to blind them. They became so wrapped up in their own brilliance that they lost sight of the dangers of unchecked ambition. The balance that once kept their world in harmony was lost, and their magnificent cities started to crumble. The very light that had given them hope now threatened to destroy everything."

Winny's voice softened as she moved on to the next land.

"The Kingdom of the Elements was once the most powerful realm, a kingdom that controlled all the elements. The people there could manage the earth, air, water, and fire. The king and queen of the Kingdom of the Elements were seen as divine rulers, wielding unmatched power. Their reign symbolized harmony with nature's forces. The people believed that as long as the elements were balanced, their world would prosper."

Her voice darkened, and she paused before continuing.

"But this kingdom is no more. The Kingdom of the Elements is thought to be destroyed. When the world fractured, the balance between the elements began to fail. The people struggled to maintain control, but in the end, the forces they once mastered overwhelmed them. Some say the kingdom was swallowed by the earth, while others claim it was drowned by the sea. The truth is, no one knows what really happened. What is clear is that the Kingdom of the Elements no longer exists. It has become a distant memory, its legacy fading into myth. Some still discuss its power and downfall, but the kingdom itself is believed to be lost, erased from history."

Winny's eyes grew distant, and sadness crept into her voice as she moved on.

"The Land of Peace was once a serene place, celebrated for its beauty—fields of wildflowers, gentle rivers, and calm skies. The people valued harmony and simplicity. But something changed. Over the years, the Land of Peace began to shift in ways no one could comprehend. No one knows for sure what happened, but it became unrecognizable. What was once peaceful transformed into a land of mystery, where paths shifted and the air felt different. Some say strange forces began to take hold there, while others whisper about powerful forces seeking to control the land."

Winny's tone grew quieter as she carried on, her words heavy with mystery.

"Today, the Land of Peace is hardly peaceful at all. It's as if the land has become restless, its people confused and unsure how to reclaim the harmony they once had. No one knows the cause of this change or how to reverse it. Some believe it was an external force beyond their control. Others argue it was the people's own choices leading them down this uncertain path. The truth is, no one really knows. All that remains are whispers and the feeling that something… or someone… is manipulating events behind the scenes."

Winny paused before moving forward.

"The Land of Lost is a realm of mystery and uncertainty. It is a place where winds whisper secrets, and its people are adrift, lost to time and space. Those who reside in the Land of Lost are wanderers, never settling, never finding a true home. It is a land filled with shadows and lurking dangers. The inhabitants are elusive, unpredictable, and often disconnected from the world. Some say freedom reigns there, where the rules of society don't apply. But there is a cost for such freedom."

Her voice turned colder, more ominous.

"The Land of Lost is where one can easily vanish, where the winds can carry you away. No one knows exactly what happens to those who venture into its depths, as many never return. The land seems to claim its own, and those who enter are often swallowed whole, leaving only echoes of their existence behind."

Winny's eyes darkened as she described the final land.

"And then there's the final land—the unknown island, a place of forbidden knowledge, where the darkest truths are hidden. This land holds the Forbidden History, which reveals the true fall of the royal family and the reasons behind the division of the realms. The island is isolated and unreachable for most, and those seeking to uncover its secrets risk being consumed by its mysteries. It's said that anyone who gets too close to its shores vanishes without a trace, their fates lost to the tides."

Her voice dropped to a whisper.

"The Forbidden History is a tale buried for centuries, one that no one dares to speak of. It contains the truth about the royal family's downfall, the forces that shattered the world, and the dire consequences of upsetting the delicate balance between realms. It is said that whoever reveals its secrets could change the world's fate—either for better or worse."

The room fell silent. The students sat in stunned quiet, the weight of Winny's words pressing down on them.

For the first time, they grasped the true stakes. The Forbidden History was no longer just a story. It was their future.
