After a few more hours of talking about the planning and catching up, Cloud leave Xiao Fan's courtyard.
Xiao Fan offered Cloud to stay in his courtyard since there are plenty of room but Cloud refused with an excuse of saying he prefer to live alone at his own place.
Xiao Fan's offer is indeed tempting to Cloud since he would be able to cultivate better here, but he understand that he's not someone that's suppose to be here.
It would attract some unwanted attention and some frown from some people if he accept the offer so he prefer to decline.
He's not someone that likes to invite trouble for nothing. And his excuse of preferring to live alone at his own place is also not a lie.
Cloud think that It's better to live at his own home rather than live on someone else's.
Even if their house is more luxurious and bigger, having and living in your own house is still better.
After going out of the courtyard, Cloud ask Xiao Fan to walk him down the peak.
He doesn't have any permit to be here so it would be troublesome if he walk down alone and someone ask him.
Xiao Fan agree to the request of course. He doesn't mind such a little thing.
If he's allowed to leave, he would even follow Cloud to his courtyard instead.
Who wants to stay confined in this dammed peak. It would be more interesting to follow Cloud instead.
The two then slowly walk down the peak.
The Head Elder who have been monitoring Xiao Fan instantly notice when he leave the courtyard of course.
He secretly follow the two to see if Xiao Fan is up to no good again.
Cloud and Xiao Fan can sense that they are being watched again as they walk down the peak.
But they can't seem to find the source even when they try to look.
The feeling always present throughout their journey down.
When the two reach the area of where the stairs leading down, that Cloud took before when he go up, Cloud says his goodbye to Xiao Fan.
Xiao Fan offered to walk him down further but Cloud decline, saying that he would be fine from here.
The two then says goodbyes and part there.
Cloud goes down the stairs while Xiao Fan turn and walk back to his courtyard.
Only then did the Head Elder that is hiding in the cloud felt relief and fly back to his courtyard.
Looks like this naughty boy still have some sense after all. The Head Elder thought of Xiao Fan as he flew.
Cloud walk down the stairs and plan to go straight home right away. He would need to prepare for the upcoming exploration of the cave.
After parting with Xiao Fan, he can sense that the feeling of being watched is now gone.
When he reach halfway down the stairs, he saw the two guards again.
They are still guarding at the same place and has not change shift yet.
Cloud greet them as he goes down.
The guards only reply politely and let him through.
The one that lead Cloud to Xiao Fan's courtyard before said: "You're done?"
In which Cloud answered with a simple: "Yes."
While the other guard only nod to Cloud's greetings.
As they watch Cloud's figure gradually get further and further down the stairs, the guard that didn't clashed with Cloud ask the one that did: "What do you think about him?"
The other guard answer without turning his head from Cloud's figure in the distance.
"Not someone that should be taken lightly."
"Even a Qi Gathering third stage like you can't beat him?" The other guard ask with a slight surprise.
"I don't know if I can beat him or not. But from our previous clash, even though I didn't use my full strength, I think it wouldn't be easy if I want to take him down." Answered the guard calmly.
That answer makes the other guard think and look at Cloud's figure again that is about to disappear from their sight.
He quietly try to remember Cloud in his heart.
Not because he is afraid or plan to avoid Cloud but because Cloud just seems to be someone worth remembering.
After a while, Cloud finally arrives at his courtyard.
He leave the matter of inviting Fang Yue to Xiao Fan because it's inconvenient for him to move around in the Elder's Peak.
He doesn't have any permit to be there after all.
As for Xiao Fan, visiting Fang Yue would only be like visiting a neighbor. It would be easier if he's the one who's going.
So that's why Cloud told him to go instead.
