Chapter 157 - Chapter 157: Hydra's Titan? Viper Titan!

A heavy humm-shing sound echoed in the passage. The huge C'tan Phase Sword quickly slashed through several more Hydra heavy armored agents. The green blade passed through their armor as if it were paper. A large amount of flesh and internal organs were ripped out by the sheer force of the terrifying giant blade, scattered all over the metal floor in a wet, grotesque spray.

The Terminator armor, stained with blood and viscera, shook its tall metal body slightly, a heavy clank as the servos adjusted. Thirteen blood-soaked purity marks, now dark and matted, were plastered against the thick metal shell.

A Hydra soldier tried to scramble away. A metal palm, wrapped in a black shell, casually shot out and pinched the man's head. Accompanied by the sound of a bulletproof helmet distorting like a tin can and a fleeting, high-pitched scream, Nolan crushed the opponent's head.

His diamond-shaped helmet turned slightly, servos whining. The red eyepieces firmly locked onto the next soldier.

In an instant, the remaining Hydra soldiers, who had been firing uselessly, seemed to receive new orders. Their nerve broke. They gave up their suicidal attacks on Nolan. Shouting the enthusiastic slogan, "Hail Hydra!", they turned and ran, their boots clattering deeper into the passage.

A noise of contempt, half-static, came over the armor's external speaker. He did not choose to waste ammunition. He gripped the huge C'tan Phase Sword, drove the Terminator armor, and followed the fleeing soldiers. His heavy thud-thud-thud was a deliberate, unhurried pursuit. Nolan just wanted to see what new moves Hydra had left.

A few minutes later, Nolan passed through the passage. A klaxon blared, and the corridor was flashing with pulsing red emergency lights. He entered an empty, massive inner field. He turned his neck, servos whining, and the eyepieces of his diamond-shaped helmet quickly scanned the surrounding environment. This appeared to be an experimental site for testing weapons and equipment. Destroyed, half-built mini-tanks and the skeletal frames of several flying vehicles were scattered on the bumpy, oil-stained ground.

Nolan stared at a mini-tank that had been split in half, its insides spilling wires. He slowly raised the bolter from his waist and slammed a new magazine into it with a heavy clack-click.

"Tsk, armor again?" his voice boomed from the speaker. "It seems that the appearance of Tony Stark Iron Man has given you crazy guys a lot of inspiration."

At this moment, a charming, accented female voice suddenly sounded from hidden speakers everywhere in the empty experimental field, the echo endless.

"Damn guy! No matter which organization you belong to, Hydra will be your eternal nightmare! You will pay an extremely heavy price for your stupid decision today!"

The ubiquitous voice resounded again. It seemed Nolan's disdainful attitude had aroused her anger. The charming female voice tore through her disguise and issued a verbal threat.

Unfortunately, the silent Nolan did not even raise his head. He had no intention of greeting her. He just held his bolter in one hand and the humming C'tan Phase Sword in the other, standing perfectly still, ready to fight.

The next second, accompanied by a terrifying roar of metal collapse and the shriek of tearing steel, pieces of the huge floor flew everywhere. Concrete and rebar burst upward.

Just a few hundred meters away from the Terminator armor, a huge, snake-like mechanical creature with a body length of thirty meters suddenly penetrated the ground. It crawled out of its hiding place, its dark green armor plates slick with dirt. Then, the terrifying mechanical creature, moving with impossible speed, launched an irresistible rampage in Nolan's direction.

Inside the diamond-shaped helmet, Nolan's cyan wolf eyes widened slightly. Through the eyepiece's targeting reticle, he quickly captured the huge mechanical creature belonging to Hydra.

"Shit," he muttered.

Then, the countless electro-fiber bundles of the Terminator armor contracted rapidly. The heavy magnetic boots took a step, and Nolan began to run, dodging to the side without hesitation. Even in genuine Terminator armor, he would not choose to face such a huge mechanical creature head-on.

KA-BOOM, KA-BOOM, KA-BOOM.

At the same time, Nolan suddenly raised his thick, metal-clad arm while running. The bolter instantly made a deafening, violent roar. Bursts of explosions and flames continuously hit the huge body of the snake-like mechanical creature. The powerful bolts smashed chunks from the opponent's dark green metal armor, sending sparks and shrapnel flying, but they failed to penetrate and destroy the delicate structure inside the mechanical creation.

The distance between them shortened rapidly.

A mechanical snake tail, one meter in diameter and not yet fully armored, fell from the sky as the creature lunged. It slammed hard onto the ground right where Nolan had been.

Nolan, wearing the Terminator armor and running hard, didn't slow down at all. His steps were flexible, and he dodged, avoiding the devastating impact. In an instant, the ground shattered. Countless fragments of concrete were blown away, continuously bombarding his Refractor Field and making a huge clang-clang-pang collision sound as they shattered against the invisible barrier.

The next second, with a whir-clack, a large-caliber, multi-barrel machine gun stretched out from the metal mouth of the snake-like mechanical creature.

A deafening BRRRRRT sound filled the room as continuous, fierce muzzle flames followed Nolan's footsteps relentlessly, sweeping a hail of lead across the Refractor Field. Even if the attack did not cause real damage to the Terminator armor, the constant ping-ping-ping and the flash of countless bullet fragments exploding against the field blocked Nolan's sight.

"Run! Run! Stupid guy! See how long you can hide from my 'Viper Titan'!"

Accompanied by the rampant shouting of the charming female voice, the snake-like mechanical creation called the Viper Titan once again tore up the ground. Its twisting, huge body once again launched a rampage in Nolan's direction.

Nolan, still running, turned and fired the last few rounds from his bolter, the click-click of an empty chamber following. He casually hung the bolter back on his armor. He took out the multi-melta attached to the back of his power backpack, his other hand gripping its foregrip.

His heavy magnetic boots suddenly stopped moving. The thick soles scraped against the metal ground, rubbing out countless sparks as he skidded to a halt. The countless electro-fiber bundles under the thick shell of the Terminator armor contracted and tightened again.

Nolan turned around quickly. He stood in place, feet planted, and raised the thick muzzle of the multi-melta. He pulled the trigger without hesitation, aiming at the approaching metal snake head of the Viper Titan.

BZZZZZZ-VWOOM!

After an ear-piercing buzzing sound, two scorching beams, like invisible lances of heat, erupted in the blink of an eye. The next second, the huge metal snake head of the Viper Titan was melted. A huge, gaping, glowing-red hole was torn through it. Countless amounts of boiling hot molten iron scattered with the opponent's unstoppable impact.

BZZZZZZ-VWOOM!

The multi-melta in Nolan's palm once again erupted with a scorching beam. The power backpack of the Terminator armor made a low hum as Nolan charged at the Viper Titan.

The scorching beam of the multi-melta accurately hit the metal snake tail that the Viper Titan had just raised to strike. The unarmored tail was instantly melted. More hot molten iron splashed on the ground, and a large amount of acrid, green smoke rose quickly. A piece of the remaining metal tail tip fell heavily, making a huge collision sound.

"Ah! My snake tail!" A genuine, pained shriek came from the speakers.

At this moment, the Viper Titan, its tail just cut off by the melta, suddenly stopped twisting. The huge, incomplete metal snake head suddenly retracted the sparking wreck of the multi-barrel machine gun inside its mouth. Countless unknown mechanical structures rotated rapidly. A high-pitched, whining sound began as an extremely thick, blue energy beam gradually condensed, ready to burst out towards Nolan, who was close at hand.

However, Nolan showed no sign of dodging. He moved in Terminator armor and rushed quickly towards the huge snake head.

He raised the multi-melta in his palm.

BZZZZZZ-VWOOM!

Accompanied by another bombardment from the scorching beam, the energy beam that was about to erupt was abruptly interrupted. The high-pitched whine died. Right inside the open, melting metal mouth of the Viper Titan, countless complex mechanical structures melted instantly, becoming pools of boiling, roiling, high-temperature molten iron.

The huge body of the Viper Titan twisted violently, like a real living thing in agony. A large amount of the molten iron penetrated deeper into the metal snake head, constantly destroying more mechanical structures. Drops of splashing, high-temperature molten iron were thrown at the Terminator armor, hissing and spitting as they were completely blocked by the invisible Refractor Field.

Nolan pulled the trigger again, and the multi-melta just clicked. He threw away the weapon, which had run out of ammunition.

He moved in Terminator armor and jumped up from the ground.

His magnetic boots, activated long ago, clanged as they stepped on the dark green shell of the metal snake head, and he jumped, servos straining, to the top of the Viper Titan's "neck".

Then, Nolan's two huge palms firmly grasped the C'tan Phase Sword. With a green flash and a humm, he inserted the terrifying giant blade deep into the broken, molten metal snake head of the Viper Titan.

The Viper Titan, which had suffered several heavy blows, twisted and rolled again. It actually rushed forward, blind and uncontrolled, with Nolan standing on it.

Nolan, firmly attached by his magnetic boots, braced himself. He pulled the hilt of the C'tan Phase Sword hard. He stepped on the dark green armor shell of the Viper Titan and began to run down its spine, dragging the blade with him.

In an instant, an extremely terrifying crack appeared on the huge metal body of the Viper Titan. The C'tan blade cut through the armor plating as if it wasn't there, sending up a spray of sparks and severed cables. The cut quickly extended all the way to the broken tail.

After more than ten seconds, the Viper Titan, which was charging forward, shuddered. It completely lost its power. With a final, massive CRASH, it collapsed on the ground, defenseless, sending tremors through the floor.

At this moment, the entire upper part of the huge metal body had been forcibly cut open by the C'tan Phase Sword. Most of the internal mechanical structure was completely destroyed.

Near the broken metal tail, Nolan, wearing the Terminator armor, subconsciously turned his neck.

He saw the special structure revealed inside the Viper Titan through the eyepiece of his diamond-shaped helmet. It was between countless complex, sparking mechanical structures.

A long-haired woman, heavily wrapped in a large amount of transparent gelatin, was twitching and vomiting blood. One by one, adsorption-type mechanical cables were wrapped around her graceful body. They kept wriggling and entangling, as if they had real activity.

Nolan, wearing a diamond-shaped helmet, gripped the C'tan Phase Sword. His magnetic boots made heavy clank, clank sounds as he slowly stepped on the metal shell, walking towards her.

Nolan's low voice came through the diamond-shaped helmet, but he got no response from the woman, whose eyes had rolled back, or from the charming female voice.

"Are the core members of Hydra so brave? They actually went into battle in person?"

Nolan was silent for a moment, watching her twitch.

He swung the C'tan Phase Sword without hesitation.

The terrifying giant blade easily pierced her graceful body, pinning her to the machine and completely ending Madam Hydra's life.

"Madam Hydra is dead, and most of the mission is completed."

Muttering to himself, Nolan pulled the C'tan Phase Sword free.

He moved in Terminator armor, stepping off and falling heavily from the Viper Titan. The heavy magnetic boots hit the ground with a solid thud.

The thirteen purity marks on the edge of his shoulder armor, having long been scorched and burned away by the high temperature, were just tattered, rustling scraps.

Then, Nolan, after repeatedly exploring the huge wreckage of the Viper Titan, picked up the discarded, hot-as-coals multi-melta.

He put the weapon away casually.

He walked towards the depths of the base, carrying the C'tan Phase Sword, his thudding footsteps echoing in the sudden silence.
