Chapter 141 - Chapter 141: No fear of corruption... The Primordial Blood of the Emperor!

[This simulation ends in ∞ (???).]

[This simulation has a retainable option.]

[1. Khorne Axe (Chaos)] (Please choose carefully)

Note: "This is a powerful demonic weapon that has been forcibly infused with countless blessings from Khorne. Originally just a finely crafted power axe, it seems to have undergone horrific changes, and has become extremely capable of growth since then."

Note: "There is still an unknown Daemon of Khorne condensed inside this demonic weapon, but unfortunately it is only an illusory prototype."

Note: "'Hehehe'... Khorne's deep laughter once again echoed in the Brass Throne. It seems that her interest in you has never weakened, but has become stronger..."

Note: "The Bloodthirster Kabanha has been reborn from blood. His anger towards you has risen to an extreme that is unbearable for his body... The next time you meet it, I'm afraid there will only be a fight."

[2. 'Iron Hand' Storm Bolter (Master)]

Note: "This is a master-level storm bolter forged from the metal of Khorne, with the Emperor's fire purifying Chaos, and the primarch's peak skills."

Note: "This seems to be a parting gift from an 'old friend' with whom you once felt like brothers."

Note: "'Hiss, hiss...' The headless phantom opens its palms to you and shakes them silently."

[3. Primordial Blood of the Emperor (???)]

Note: "This is a vial of primordial blood from the Emperor himself."

Note: Scholars of the Imperial Palace regard this as one of the final directives spoken by the Master of Mankind to Captain-General Constantin Valdor in the blood-choked moments before He was confined to the Golden Throne.

Note: Though weakened and exhausted, she glimpsed fragments of the future through a brief flare of the empyric sight. Within those visions, she saw a faint possibility, a sliver of hope not yet extinguished.

Note: The Emperor's genetic essence—His primarch-grade genome—has been woven into your flesh. This will grant you a constitution far more resistant to the Warp and the temptations of the Ruinous Powers than any ordinary mortal. Even so, while your will has already proven unbreakable, she deemed an additional safeguard necessary. The gaze of the Four grows ever sharper toward those with blood touched by the Emperor.

Note: There may be further consequences to bearing the Emperor's genetic imprint. Some effects will only manifest as you develop, and their nature cannot yet be predicted. You must learn to adapt—and endure—as these changes unfold.

[Simulation exceeded 24 hours. Simulation wear and tear has been… waived.]

[Cooldown time: zero]

[Current available cooldown reduction time: 765 hours]

The simulation had just ended, the rush of the desperate final fight still thrumming in his nerves. Nolan opened his cyan wolf eyes suddenly and couldn't help but take a sharp, ragged breath.

His eyes quickly scanned the labels for all the reward options, processing the implications of each one. The sharp fangs subconsciously poked out of his lips, a physical manifestation of his internal focus.

For a moment, Nolan did not choose any reward. Instead, he quickly performed a familiar check.

Instead, he once again selected a simulation drop-in as a Space Wolf.

[Warp Storm in progress. Arrival prohibited—]

[Warp Storm in progress. Arrival prohibited—]

Nolan narrowed his cyan wolf eyes. He shook his head helplessly, letting out a small exhale.

"I thought I found a bug in the simulator," he whispered in a low voice, a hint of cynical humor in his tone. "If there is no cooldown time when entering warp, wouldn't I be able to come down repeatedly and get anything for free?"

Unfortunately, the simulator would not give Nolan such a generous blessing. The loophole was closed.

His eyes returned to the reward options, quickly dismissing the first choice. The Khorne Axe had been completely ruled out. Unless he genuinely wanted to become a daemon prince and be an eternal lackey under Chaos, he would never choose that option. The risk was too great, the price too high.

However, the second item, the master-level Storm Bolter, also made Nolan's heart beat wildly. It was a tool of immense power, expertly crafted and purified. If the Primordial Blood of the Emperor did not exist as an option, he would definitely choose the second option.

"Resistance to corruption..." Nolan muttered to himself, turning his gaze to glance at Bucky, the Winter Soldier, who was lying unconscious on the nearby hospital bed.

He stood up from the metal chair. The last experience of gaining physical enhancement—the pain, the blood, the sudden growth—was still fresh in Nolan's memory. It was better to avoid people.

Nolan, with a solemn expression, walked quickly toward the bathroom in the medical room, entered inside, and locked the metal door securely. He chose the third reward without hesitation: the Primordial Blood of the Emperor.

The next second, a large amount of blood began to spray out violently from Nolan's face: his eyes, nose, ears, and mouth. He kept vomiting blood, stumbling backward. He hurriedly took a few steps forward, turned on the shower head, and stripped off his clothes.

At this moment, bright red blood was flowing out of the pores all over Nolan's body, pouring out as if he were a dying person suffering from fatal, incurable internal injuries.

However, he couldn't feel any pain. Only the inside of his tall, straight spine gradually produced waves of numbness and itching, a sensation that traveled up his back.

As time passed, Nolan's breathing became heavier, turning into shallow, rapid gasps, and even his head became increasingly dizzy. This seemed to be the sign of extreme weakness that comes from massive, excessive blood loss.

He slowly sat down on the cold metal floor. He let the scorching water from the shower head hit his gray-haired head and wash away the constant flow of blood on his body.

Soon after, the scene in front of Nolan completely fell into blackness. The two hearts in his body seemed to have lost their final power, slowing to a dangerous, heavy crawl.

Just when he was about to enter a coma, the numb and itchy feeling inside his spine suddenly intensified, turning into a hot, unfamiliar sensation. It quickly flowed out to all parts of the body, spreading like liquid fire!

When the scorching and strange current once again poured into the Heart of Leman Russ and the other standard heart, Nolan suddenly opened his eyes wide and jumped up from the ground.

Every inch of his flesh and blood was re-soaked and filled with the Primordial Blood of the Emperor, the primordial substance weaving itself into his very being! A very strong, revitalizing energy made his already tall body begin to change subtly.

In the blink of an eye, Nolan's height actually went from 1.9 meters to a full 2 meters! Even the gray hair on his head seemed to be stimulated by more activity. It grew rapidly, thickening and extending to below his waist in moments.

Not long after, Nolan blinked his cyan wolf eyes, which were now much brighter and clearer than before. He gradually adapted to the increased height and size, flexing his newly extended limbs.

To be honest, the current changes were actually much weaker than Nolan had imagined. He thought that the Primordial Blood of the Emperor would bring more drastic, immediate changes...

Nolan suddenly narrowed his eyes. He raised a sharp finger and used it to forcefully cut the tough skin on one arm, deliberately slicing through the newly reinforced epidermis.

Then, a wisp of sticky blood, three parts bright red and seven parts gold, slowly flowed out.

Nolan couldn't help but widen his eyes in shock. He stared at the wisp of pale gold blood that seemed to have a life of its own. It kept squirming, vibrating with energy, and it actually retracted back into the wound! Even when constantly washed by the scorching hot water, it did not escape or disappear.

"... Is this fucking human blood?" Nolan subconsciously bared his fangs, his voice a low, incredulous whisper. "Or, what is the essence of the Emperor...?"
