The next day, with nothing much to do, I decided to report to the city police headquarters. I was accompanied by Brittany Scott, and I first reported to the office of the bureau chief.
The bureau chief was in high spirits due to some recent happy events; upon seeing Tobby come in, he smiled: "Why not take a few more days off? Has your injury healed?"
"I'm doing fine, just wanted to come over and get used to the environment."
The chief nodded, then stood up, found some documents from the file cabinet behind him, and handed them to me: "Here, go register at the administration department, then someone will take you to your office. I'm counting on you, do a good job."
I saluted: "Yes, sir."
Then I took the onboarding documents to register at the administration department, and afterwards, an officer led me to the Unit Two of the criminal investigation division.
