Others sing like they're trying to kill.
Leon Ford belonged to the second category—
although he was still a little short of being truly lethal.
Still, his shout was explosive.
In an instant, every nearby person turned to stare at him.
Their expressions twisted—
as if they had swallowed a dead fly.
Nami and Zoro instinctively raised their hands to cover their faces, silently signaling to the world:
"We don't know this man."
"Little sister sits at the bow,
Big brother walks the shore…"
Leon sang even louder, even more passionately.
The crowd around him clapped hands to their ears.
"Do you know him?" Nami whispered to Zoro.
"I don't know him!" Zoro shook her head violently.
"What about you?"
"Never seen him in my life. Who IS he?"
"Let's go. Let's play somewhere else."
Just as the two women turned to escape, Leon shouted behind them:
"Don't go! Come sing with me!"
Sing your sister's song!
Sing your ass!!
Nami and Zoro spun around and, in perfect sync, flipped him off.
One gestured at his sister.
The other gestured at his grandfather.
"If you don't want to sing, then don't!
Why are you greeting my sister and uncle?
I don't even have a sister or an uncle!"
"Hey! You two—!"
Before Leon could finish, Nami and Zoro slipped away like thieves.
"Fine! I'll sing by myself!"
Leon kept performing, and the area—once packed with people—
was now completely deserted.
On stage, the resident performers were turning green.
They relied on this singing gig for a living.
If Leon kept singing and driving customers away, their jobs were ruined.
"Damn it! You're here to cause trouble! Get him!"
The guitarist slammed his instrument down and charged at Leon.
The others followed—
drummers, keyboard players, backup singers—
a full musical beatdown team.
Several fists flew toward Leon at once.
The one who attacked most viciously was the resident singer whose microphone Leon had stolen earlier.
His entire livelihood was still in Leon's hand—literally—
so of course he was furious.
Leon ignored them completely.
He just kept singing—
"The freezing rain slaps against my face—"
"You're interrupting my singing!"
"You're asking for it!"
Leon shoved the microphone directly into someone's mouth, then grabbed the lower half and spun it.
This was the legendary Stuffing Technique, Version 1.0—
just enough to make someone miserable.
If he ever developed Version 2.0, the battlefield would be his.
After "handling" the performers, Leon hopped off the stage and continued wandering.
Meanwhile, Nami and Zoro were already playing arcade games.
"Hey handsome, want a drink?"
Leon wandered into a bar.
Before he even found a seat, a provocatively dressed woman slid up to him.
"Bar scammer detected," Leon thought instantly.
But he didn't expose her.
After all, he came here specifically to dine-and-dash.
"Drink? Of course!
Bring me the most expensive one!"
"…Okay!"
The bar girl froze—not expecting such an easy victim.
Leon chugged several glasses of top-shelf wine, each worth tens of thousands.
"Sir, you haven't paid."
As he tried to leave, two burly staff members blocked him.
"I'm good friends with your boss, Buggy.
And you dare ask me for money?"
The moment he said "friend of Buggy," the two men exchanged looks.
They didn't dare stop him.
Leon walked out boldly.
From then on, he ate and drank everywhere—
No money.
Just a line:
"I'm friends with your boss."
Games? Free.
Buffets? Free.
VIP lounges? Free.
Two hours later—
A shadow appeared in front of him.
"I heard from my workers that a friend of mine has been enjoying himself quite a lot here."
"My friend… is that you?"
Buggy's eyes locked onto Leon.
He smiled—but that smile was sharp and layered with meaning.
Leon stared back—
and his own eyes nearly popped out.
Buggy… is a woman.
A stunning one.
And more importantly—
Her appearance was extremely familiar.
"Wait… you're Buggy?"
"A woman…?"
"Harley Quinn!?"
"Buggy equals Harley Quinn!?"
