Hearing Yusaku speak so casually, Genichiro let out a laugh born of pure rage.
"So you've already used up the only trap you had set on the field, and you're down to just two monsters... Don't tell me you seriously think that destroying my Bloo-D means I can't finish this duel!?"
He slammed a card onto his Duel Disk.
"In that case, let me show you another ace monster in my deck!"
"I activate the Spell Card—[Monster Reborn], to revive [Elemental HERO Stratos] from my Graveyard!"

"Since [Elemental HERO Stratos] has no once-per-turn clause, I can activate his effect again to add [Destiny HERO – Denier] from my deck to my hand."
After searching and adding the card, he continued:
"I activate the effect of [Destiny HERO – Malicious] in the Graveyard! I banish it to Special Summon another [Destiny HERO – Malicious] from my deck!"

Genichiro thrust his arm upward.
"Descend—my strongest servant! [Vision HERO Trinity]!!!"
A blazing-red armored hero tore out of the fusion vortex, its red indicator lights glowing ominously. When it landed, its weight shattered the tiles beneath its feet, shards scattering like a burst of rain.

"[Vision HERO Trinity]'s effect!" Genichiro shouted. "The turn this card is Fusion Summoned, its ATK doubles!"

Genichiro burst into manic laughter.
"And I'm not done! Trinity's other effect—this Fusion Summoned monster can make THREE attacks during each Battle Phase!"
The spectators froze for a moment, then—
"5000 ATK!? And it can attack three times!? What kind of monster is supposed to survive that!?"
Genichiro raised another card from his hand.
"Hand effect of [Elemental HERO Honest Neos]! By discarding this card, I target one 'HERO' monster on my field. It gains 2500 ATK until the end of this turn!"
"I discard it and boost my [Vision HERO Trinity]!"

"ATK 7500!? Three hits of that—Yusaku's losing more than ten thousand LP!"
"The duel is over, Yusaku!"
Genichiro pointed forward.
"[Vision HERO Trinity], attack—!"
"Wait."
Yusaku raised his hand, cutting him off.
"Before you enter your Battle Phase—I activate the effect of [Ecclesia of the Black Dragon] on my field!"
"During your or my Main Phase, I can banish this card until the End Phase to Special Summon 1 [Fallen of Albaz] or a monster that mentions it from my hand, deck, or Graveyard."

The Red Sun Dojo students felt their hearts sink. They remembered very well the nightmare this monster had created before.
"Oh boy, someone's ace monster is about to disappear again," Kazetaro said smugly.
"What do you mean 'disappear'?" Kouki folded his arms. "That's called becoming high-quality material for Mirrorjade."
"Exactly!"
The spectators who hadn't seen this card before were confused.
Those who had were already giving Genichiro strange, pitying looks.
"[Fallen of Albaz]..."
Genichiro frowned. He vaguely remembered something about a fusion effect.
His thoughts were interrupted by Yusaku's voice:
"I activate the effect of [Fallen of Albaz]! I discard 1 card from my hand, and I fuse it with your [Vision HERO Trinity] on the field!"
Genichiro's eyes nearly popped out.
"What!? You're using MY MONSTER as Fusion Material!?"
A gigantic fusion vortex erupted above the arena.
Yusaku raised his arm high.
"The newborn dragon meets the ancient frost! The wrath of the polar ice becomes a blade that freezes and cuts down all foes! Descend—
[MIRRORJADE THE ICEBLADE DRAGON]!!!"
ROOOOAR!!
The ice-forged dragon ripped through the fusion vortex, landing with an earth-shaking impact.

"Turn rewind."
Yusaku stared at the speechless Genichiro.
"You have no monsters left. Just one card in your hand. If you can still use it, use it now—because you won't get another chance."
It took Genichiro several seconds before his mind rebooted.
He clenched his teeth and slammed down his last card.
"I won't go down without scratching your LP!"
"I activate [Miracle Fusion]! I banish [Elemental HERO Shadow Mist] and WIND-Attribute [Elemental HERO Stratos] from my Graveyard to Fusion Summon—[Elemental HERO Great Tornado]!"

The wind roared, and Yusaku's field weakened.
But—
"So that's your last card." Yusaku raised a card from his hand. "Then at the moment you summoned [Great Tornado], I activate the hand effect of [Bystial Druiswurm]!"
"I banish your DARK monster [Destiny HERO – Plasma] from your Graveyard to Special Summon this card!"

Kazetaro and Kouki suddenly straightened in their seats.
"It's coming—"
"Accel Synchro..."
On the field, Yusaku raised his arm.
"I tune Level 6 [Bystial Druiswurm] with [Incredible Ecclesia, the Virtuous]!"
"(Thanks to the effect of [Etude of the Branded]!)"
Genichiro's pupils contracted.
"A Synchro Summon... during my turn!?"
"That's right!"
"The crystallized dreams form a new path of evolution—shining with radiant light! ACCEL SYNCHRO!!!"
Ecclesia became four stars and wrapped around Druiswurm, a pillar of Synchro energy piercing the sky.
When the light faded—
Yusaku was gone.
The entire arena gasped.
A duelist on the next stage literally forgot to draw his card.
Kazetaro and Kouki nearly fused with excitement.
"He really vanished like in the anime!!!"
Then—
HORSE HOOFBEATS echoed from the air.
Light flashed.
Yusaku reappeared.
"Descend—[Baronne de Fleur]!!!"
The ground split apart, thorned vines weaving into a portal of roses. A silver-armored knight atop a steed burst forth.

"I activate the effect of [Bystial Druiswurm] in the Graveyard!"
"When this card is sent from the field to the Graveyard, I target 1 Special Summoned monster you control and send it to the Graveyard!"
"I choose your [Elemental HERO Great Tornado]!"
A red-brown flash shot upward, striking Tornado.
Its body twisted—then vanished.
"Sorry. Not even 1 LP."
"Do you want to continue?" Yusaku asked calmly.
Genichiro stared blankly at his empty field.
He had lost again.
Silence engulfed the arena.
Everyone was thinking the same thing:
If I were the one dueling... could I last that long?
Genichiro had summoned monster after monster—many powerful ones.
But every one was destroyed, absorbed, or stolen as fusion material.
His field emptied. His hand emptied.
Meanwhile, his opponent's board only grew larger—
and this was all during Genichiro's own turn.
And worst of all—
Mirrorjade's effect hadn't even activated yet.
After a long silence—
"I... I surrender. You win..."
Genichiro whispered.
