Chapter 14 - Chapter 14: The wedding day

CHAPTER FOURTEEN —The wedding day

The full moon rose gently over the neighboring kingdom, bathing the palace in silver light.

Wedding bells echoed softly through the open courtyards, not loud or overwhelming, but steady and ceremonial. Ancient customs were followed with care. The elders spoke blessings meant to unite two kingdoms, not two hearts. Incense burned. Music flowed. Flowers lined the marble floor.

Princess Emily stood radiant beside Prince Kira, her heart fluttering with joy.

She had dreamed of this day for as long as she could remember.

To her, this marriage was not just duty it was destiny.

Kira stood tall and composed, his face calm and unreadable. Those watching admired his control, mistaking silence for strength. No one noticed how distant his eyes were, how his thoughts drifted far from the ceremony unfolding around him.

When the final rites were completed and the crowd erupted into celebration, Emily smiled brightly.

She was married.

As tradition demanded, the bride was to be escorted to her new home. Emily expected Kira to join her inside the carriage, but instead, he mounted his black horse without a word, reins firm in his grasp.

She stiffened, disappointment flashing across her face before she masked it.

It's fine, she told herself.

He's just reserved.

As the carriage rolled forward, Emily leaned back, determination replacing doubt. She adjusted her gown, already planning the night ahead. She believed deeply in her charm, in the power she had always wielded effortlessly. She smiled when she remembered how wealthy men lined up in the palace asking for her hand in marriage.

I will make him see me, she thought.

I will make him want me.

She imagined soft laughter, closeness, the beginning of something new. Her heart fluttered with anticipation, and hope warmed her chest.

Ahead of the procession, Kira rode in silence.

But his thoughts betrayed him.

They wandered, uninvited, to a girl with tired eyes and quiet strength. To the way her voice softened when she spoke. To the kiss he could not erase from his memory.

Since that moment, he had felt unbalanced like something vital had slipped out of his control he craves for more of it ,he craves for her soft lips on his, he wants to get close to her but knowing the consequences he chose to maintain his distance even though he doesn't know how long he can control himself. He had agreed to this marriage believing it would silence those feelings.

Instead, they had grown louder.

When Nightfall appeared beneath the moonlight, the palace gates opened wide. Music greeted them. Servants lined the path, smiling and bowing, lanterns glowing warmly.

Everyone had come to welcome their future queen .

Everyone except Helena.

Kira noticed instantly.

The absence struck him deeper than he expected, but he said nothing.

Emily descended from the carriage, supported by her personal maid, Liora, who stayed close at her side. After the formal greetings, Emily was escorted through the palace corridors, admiration following her every step.

Her chamber was beautiful spacious, elegant, prepared with care.

Once inside, curiosity tugged at her.

"Where is Prince Kira's chamber?" she asked Liora.

The maid hesitated before answering.

"His Highness keeps separate quarters."

Emily's smile faltered just briefly.

"But tonight," Liora added quickly, "you will share a room, as custom allows."

Relief and excitement flooded Emily's expression.

Left alone, she bathed slowly, she chose the gown that perfectly hugs and made her large boobs, tiny waist and curvy hips quite visible. She arranged her hair loosely, smiled at her reflection, and took a deep breath.

"He can't resist me afterall he is a man" she kept on echoing that to herself while smiling broadly.

Tonight, she thought, everything begins.

The door opened quietly.

Kira stepped inside.

Their eyes met.

And beneath the full moon, two people stood together bound by marriage, divided by hearts that beat in different directions.
