Getting to the platform Andre looks around for whoever he was supposed to be meeting. Scanning his surrounding he couldn't notice anyone out of the nowhere, just everyday people. One was wearing a small leather vest and some trousers, another a white vest and shorts. Nothing out of the ordinary compared other he had driven past on his way here.
During all this was constant noise from trains, conversations and people walking almost around him but suddenly his ears perched up and he could hear a distinct set of footsteps approaching him and only him but the direction wasn't clear.
As a precaution he had his hand at the ready for his revolver incase things went an unsavoury way and had to react quick.
"Hello there" a voice said, he turned towards it instantly and raised his gun. In front of him was a slender and tall women around the same height as him. She was wearing a leather jacket, black shirt that was a bit big for her, cargo trousers and a full mask. Its design was randomly places shapes with a multitude of colours that had no focal point at all. He didn't know where to look at them.
As he went to speak he had noticed that everything around them went silent. Everyone was still on their way but it was like a silent film.
"What is going on?" He asked perplexed at what he seen. "I just shut everyone out from our conversation. So no one can interrupt us" her voice was mechanical and fragmented. It shocked Andre and he had to collect himself before he spoke. "What is it you need from me?" He asked them.
"I need you to help takedown a steel serpents safehouse. Full of weapons bound to leave the city. Ill send you the location" she was cold and calculating "If you do this for me then I'll help you with what you need, seems fair to me wouldn't you say?" She propositioned
"I'll do this for you. A deals a deal though, if you don't make on it then you'll know for sure" he said the gun still pointing at them. "I understand. If you ever need me you can contact me at any time. Anyway I shall let you go and do that for me" and before Andre can say a word she dissappears into the crowd.
Holstering his revolver Andre walks back the way he came and rides off down the street. As he was driving a fancy corporate looking car drive past him, it was a nice maroon and cream colours with golden accents. Even he could admit its beauty and he wasnt one to really care about those things. Not even 30 seconds later a humvee drove right upto it, on top was a machine that opened fire right away. The bullets chewing into the cars exterior at first as it tried to swerve away but like a pack hyenas it was boxed in and had no where to go. Then it started to slow down and come to complete stop after which a person got out one of vehicles, they were wearing the same thing as the person he say earlier that day from one of the gangs.
From the car they pulled a body out of it, they were wearing a navy suit coat and trousers. Their body filled with holes and covered in blood. He was able to watch the situation unfold as he had kept up with the vehicles and stopped when the cars stopped. He was able to hear one say "that's it were good to go boys" into a headset they were wearing before getting in and driving away.
He had felt bad for the women slightly but knew that the city had its own rules and they hadn't played a long in some way, probably didn't cooperate with them. Not dwelling on the situation for long he drove off again.
As he got close to the location he decided to make the rest of the journey by foot as to not arouse suspicion. Walking through the alleyways he noticed people laying on the street, most were probably on something but it didn't matter to him as he js wanted to get away from them instead. He didn't want his clothes sullied by the filth of the people and the rubbish floating around.
Turning a corner he had bumped into a street market, or a close approximation of one anyway. It was fairly busy for the type of area it was in. Also near by were gang members, not like the ones he had seen before. These ones had more casual wear on like plain t-shirts, vests, jogging bottoms, shorts and the like. They were, from the looks of it there for protection so wernt something he had to avoid.
Noting this Andre went towards the market slowly, always keeping an eye out in case a pick pocket wanted to try something on him. Walking around he noticed the vendors were selling.
One was selling old electronics, another selling what seemed to be baked goods, someone selling themselves for cheap labour and some others. Andre could feel the community spirit even with the tough living situation these people had, they also had a good amount of people around buying the stuff they need.
Wading through the crowds slowly Andre feels a tug on his duster, he turns around and sees a small child just shorter than his waist ask him "excuse me sir do you have any money?" His eyes were like a pleading dog, her eyes big and green with her shoulder length hair flowing slightly.
"Let me see what I've got" he says as he begins to rummage in his pockets for any amount of change. "Here you go" as he hands them a few coins "should be enough" he adds before walking out the market and back down side streets.
After another couple minutes of cutting through alleyways he reaches his destination, a large warehouse that says Ecotech on the side. Standing guard was two armed people, both were wearing jumpsuits with an insignia on them. A serpents jumping into the sky with a sun above it.
Scanning the surrounding area he had noticed a couple of ways he could possibly get inside. Either climb up a set of scaffolding and go through a window or sneak through a side door he had spotted. Either way he had to wait till night so he wouldn't be seen, it wasn't the best situation but it was better than not doing anything at all either.
Time will only tell...
