Naruto looked at the silent Neji on the field and thought about Gaara. He shook his head helplessly. "Ugh... a bunch of problem children..."
"Alright, the match is about to begin. Let's confirm the participants."
Genma appeared on the field, coolly announcing the news while chewing on a toothpick.
"Sasuke isn't here yet?"
Naruto frowned, looking around the arena. "He doesn't have the Cursed Seal on his neck this time... why is he still so slow?"

Genma called out twice in a row, but there was no response.

"Huh? Sasuke, where's that snake body?"
Naruto asked Sasuke, puzzled.
"I've already absorbed it."
Sasuke's lips curled into a smirk. "It turns out, the snake's body was just a mass of pure energy containing knowledge, easy to absorb."
"Is that right? You've got the Sharingan's Three-Tomoe now? Congratulations."
Naruto grinned.
As for where Orochimaru's consciousness in the snake's body went, Naruto knew perfectly well. It had been purified by his chakra back then.
"Yeah, Three-Tomoe."
Sasuke was also overjoyed. He couldn't wait to test his current strength.
"Alright, since you're here, let the match begin. First match, Sasuke Uchiha versus Gaara!"
Genma announced, waiting for the two competitors to arrive.
"Sasuke, do your best."
Naruto patted Sasuke on the shoulder and followed Kakashi to the observation platform.

Sasuke looked at Gaara with disdain.
"Then, let the match begin!"
Raising his hand and waving it down, Genma jumped back, clearing the space for the match.

The next moment, the stopper on the gourd behind Gaara fell off, and sand poured out.
"Er... Boom..."
The next moment, Gaara's body trembled, and the sand that had automatically moved into the air fell down.

Sasuke sneered as he pulled his arm from Gaara's chest.
"The winner of this match, Uchiha Sasuke!"
Genma looked at the situation on the arena and announced.
"Gaara..."
In the next moment, Kankuro and Temari leaped down from the spectator platform. Kankuro helped Gaara out of the arena.
"Now, let's proceed to the next match, Uzumaki Naruto and Hyuga Neji."
Genma announced as usual.
"Heh heh, it's my turn!"
Naruto hopped down from the stands with ease, casually walking towards the arena.
"Naruto, do your best."
Sasuke encouraged him, his voice even, as Naruto approached.
"Don't worry, I definitely won't lose."
Naruto wasn't nervous at all; it was just a little kid, after all.
"Right, I'll be watching."
Nodding, Sasuke walked up the steps to the stands on the side.
"So, Neji Hyuga, huh?"
Naruto looked at Neji standing across from him and gave a dismissive smile. "You're not good enough. You're too weak."
"Hmph, dead last, just run your mouth. Because you won't be conscious for much longer. I'll knock you out immediately."
Neji's face was filled with arrogance.
"Begin the match."
After Genma gave the order, neither Naruto nor Neji moved.
"What's the matter, dead last? Scared? You don't even dare to move?"
Neji sneered in disdain.
"Forget it, since you're looking to die..."
Naruto stretched his arms. "I'll take you down in five seconds."
