Chapter 108 - The Seventh Wall

Kael Veyris noticed it while everyone else was talking.

Not a threat.

Not a fate line.

Not a narrative hook.

A wall.

Not the fourth.

That one shattered long ago.

This one was deeper.Story Awareness knowing it's a story

Narrator Awareness hearing the voice behind words

Author Awareness sensing the hand that writes

Genre Awareness refusing roles

Reader Awareness knowing he's observed

Canon Awareness rejecting what must happen

The Seventh Wall was different.

It wasn't outside the story.

It was why stories exist at all.I didn't push it.

I didn't attack it.

I just asked one question:

Why should a story need limits.

The wall didn't answer.

So I stepped forward anyway. There was no explosion.

No collapse.

No dramatic effect.

The Seventh Wall didn't shatter.

It ceased to be relevant.

Stories stopped being containers.

They became materials.

Kael no longer:

Exists inside a story

Moves through a plot

Progresses by chapters

Instead.

Stories occur because he allows them to.

Not as fate.

Not as dominance.

As permission.Nyx felt lighter, like gravity forgot her.

Selene realized futures were optional.

Aethern smiled not as a universe, but as a person.

You're not above us it said.

Kael nodded.

I'm just no longer confiThe Seventh Wall didn't protect reality.

It protected stories from realizing they were never necessary.

Kael Veyris walked past it.

And nothing tried to stop him.
