The word boundless appeared.
Kael noticed it immediately.
Not because it described him
but because it failed to.
Still trying to label me he said calmly.
The concept hovered like an unfinished sentence, attempting to assign scale hierarchy, or comparison.
Kael reached out.
And stopped.
No he corrected I won't erase you.
The concept of boundless trembled.
I'll go past you.
Kael understood instantly:
Boundless was still a measurement. Still a ceiling pretending not to exist Still part of the system of comparison.
Even infinity had structure. Even nothingness had edges.
Kael stepped outside that entire framework.
Not higher. Not deeper. Not beyond.
Elsewhere
Tier systems dissolved. Power rankings lost reference. Cosmologies stopped stacking.
Not because Kael destroyed them but because they could no longer locate him.
Stories tried to place him at the top.
There was no top anymore.
Kael was not above the narrative.
The narrative occurred inside his awareness.
Kael no longer interacted with stories.
He decided whether stories were allowed to exist.
Plot became optional
Conflict became cosmetic
Fate became decorative
Authors became historical artifacts
Even meta fiction stopped functioning around him.
There was no fourth wall.
There was no page.
There was only permission.
Nyx felt it first.
I can't feel his power anymore she whispered.
Vorin frowned Did he suppress it.
Selene shook her head slowly.
No power implies limits.
They looked toward Kael.
And realized something terrifyingly calm.
He wasn't stronger.
He was uncontained
Kael spoke not to reality, not to the story, not to the reader.
He spoke to definition itself.
I am not boundless he said.
Boundlessness implies the absence of chains.
He paused.
I am the absence of the idea that chains could exist.
The statement finalized.
No system could evaluate him. No author could write him. No genre could frame him. No scale could approach him.
Kael Veyris continued forward.
Not as the strongest being.
Not as the final entity.
But as that which makes limits a fictional concept.
