Chapter 1 - Chapter 1 - The usual stuff

The only light in the room came from my ipad, casting shadows at the walls.

"That's it?" I murmured.

"All that for a kiss? It can't be... How could they? I just..." My head lowered.

"I just wanted to see the sex or something! I mean, come on! We already got the kiss earlier, so at least give me the wedding or some shit!"

I threw myself onto the bed, rolling over to face the ceiling.

"Fuck... Fuck... shit..."

My eyes closing as I cursed myself to sleep.

Everything went dark.

[Shameful Host Acquired]

[Initiating Generic System]

'...'

[Power. Game Stats. Incubus]

[Benefits decided. Please test your luck and spin the wheel for a power]

'...Wait, this isn't a dream? What is even happening?'

[You are going to be isekai'd. Please spin the wheel for a power]

'...'

'Looking at these events... it does make sense. But where to, and why me?'

[Into the game *Dispatch*. No special reason]

[Spin the wheel or the benefit will be deleted]

"Okay, okay! Spin it!"

Bling.

[Telekinesis]

'What? Already? I didn't even see anything spinning.'

[Information about Stats and Incubus will be transferred after birth. Goodbye!]

'He ignored me—'

SNAP!

.

.

.

My blurry eyes could only make out the figures standing around me, maybe clapping. My ears picked up low shouts and the sound of clapping, which then rose rapidly.

My vision adjusted.

I stood behind a table bearing a birthday cake with a single candle 18-shaped poking it. The people shouting were actually singing "Happy Birthday," their faces ranging from kids to warm-looking grandmothers.

An orphanage.

"Quickly, blow the candle, dear!" said a chubby woman in maid's clothes.

"Make a wish! Don't forget!" a little girl shouted.

I observed everything, calming myself with a deep breath while recalling the last message about Stats and Incubus.

'Stats... It's just like in the game. After a SDN mission, I level up and can assign points.'

'Incubus... that's new. After bedding someone with power, my Telekinesis becomes stronger. The effects are greater if it's from the main cast.'

'So that means... I have to join SDN and go on Dispatch missions, at least until all my stats reach 10 and... after doing it with them female.'

"What a weird setting," I murmured.

They looked at me strangely, confused by my words.

'A superhero world... And I have so much potential, right? how cool is that?'

A thin smile touched my lips, my heart swelling with expectation.

Then, I finally blew out the candle.

THUD-BOOM!

The floor shuddered like someone had kicked the building from the outside. Dust fell from the ceiling.

"Is that… fireworks?" I asked.

KABOOM!

The right wall exploded.

Concrete turned to pieces. A chunk zapped straight into us. SMACK! The chubby maid erased from existence.

Everyone screamed.

'Bruh, are you serious.'

The building groaned.

CRRRRRAAAAK—

People rushed the exit instantly, shoving, clawing, trampling over each other.

So much for orphan solidarity.

....

Outside, chaos seemed to be everywhere, but a closer look confirmed it was local.

Sirens wailed. Dark dust clouds stained the night sky. People ran in every direction.

But the most obvious thing I saw was... a freaking Kaiju. A lizard-like creature the size of a building, with dark, rocky skin, thick legs, and a wet, snarling mouth. The smell of blood and sewer water filled my nostrils.

Before I could run for it, I noticed a change in the crowd, something hovered toward us. A hero.

She hovered right above us. Cape fluttering, yellow hair flowing. Her sexy outfit highlighted her attractive thighs.

People halted and turned towards her.

"Blonde Blazer?" The words escaped me.

She glanced down, offering a brief, polite smile before her expression turned serious.

"Everyone! Stay calm and evacuate toward the tunnels—"

THUD!

A shockwave cut her off. Skyscraper debris flew past her and toward the crowd. The guy next to me popped like a blood-filled balloon.

ROOOOOAR!

The Kaiju's roar shattered windows. My ears rang.

'Nope. Absolutely not. Leave the fanboy for later.'

I turned and sprinted, and many did so.

.

A few minutes later, after running until my lungs burned, I stopped behind a shattered bus stop and finally dared to look back.

Blonde Blazer was flying around the beast. Other heroes were there too—a green, red, and yellow smear also fighting. Light channeled, energy beams blasted, and explosions rocked the monster.

"Damn."

I felt my lungs burning, my muscles aching. I noticed shallow cuts all across my skin just now.

"...I'm really, really inside it. To be honest, the thought of waking up and this being a dream was still lingering in my mind."

"But now... I'm forced to accept it."

...

Days later, I walked down a busy street in Los Angeles.

I'd never been to the place in my previous world. The weather was nice, I guess.

The city was very lively; a constant stream of footsteps, dozens of different passing conversations, and the impatient honking of traffic. If I hadn't experience that shit a few day back, I would never guess there were a Kaiju attack anywhere near this city.

A crowd had gathered outside an electronics store. Dozens of TVs showed the same news feed:

"Thanks to the swift and decisive intervention of SDN heroes like Blonde Blazer, casualties were minimized—"

'....Minimized. I mean, sure. But the way he says it sounds like it was a perfect operation.'

A bald guy beside me muttered, annoyed:

"Tell that to the ones who didn't outrun the shockwave." He spat on the ground and walked away.

I turned back to the screen:

-SENATOR ROSS PROPOSES NEW SUPER REGISTRY MEASURES

-INSURANCE RATES EXPECTED TO SPIKE AFTER KAIJU ATTACK

-ACTIVIST GROUP CLAIMS SDN RESPONSE WAS "NEGLIGENT"

I stood there for a while. The news of a superhero world was actually very interesting... if you ignore the tragic parts.

The broadcast continued:

"Government relief fund approved:five thousand dollars for survivors of the Zone-3 destruction."

Oh, right.

Because I turned eighteen, I was given an envelope with 5K cash money. But now, besides being an orphan, I was also homeless. I mean, shouldn't they give me a place to stay at least?

What a chaotic start.

"But what's the plan?"

Weird horny power. Then Telekinesis. Right.

I needed to see how it works, what can be achieved and whatnot.

I looked around at the bustling street. Cars honked and weaved through traffic. People of all types of colors, wearing all kinds of clothes, some even entirely different races—monster-like builds, fantasy shit.

'...The calendar says the year is 2023.'

One year before Robert joins SDN.

"Ah, I don't know."

I'll just find a place to stay first.
