Chapter 54 - Chapter 54 Xuan Weng's Wish

Orochimaru's hasty departure likely means he couldn't leave his laboratory. He's truly diligent in his efforts to develop Reanimation Jutsu as quickly as possible.

"Has Orochimaru already left?" Gennō looked at the unsealed barrier, gazing around but not seeing the small, earthy-yellow snake.

"Yes, Mr. Gennō, have you decided whether or not to join our organization?"

Ling blinked. She didn't believe Gennō would refuse, because Orochimaru already knew about the Exploding Tags Gennō had buried in Konoha. If Gennō wasn't sensible, then the Interrogation Department would be his destination.

"Do I still have a choice? If it weren't for your shocked expression when Orochimaru suddenly appeared, I would suspect you intentionally set me up."

Gennō felt quite helpless; joining a mysterious organization with many secrets was definitely not a good thing.

Unfortunately, he had no choice, and he also wanted to end his current muddled life.

"Haha, Mr. Gennō, welcome to our organization as an external member. From now on, you will only be responsible to me. I am your superior."

Ling became happy, her large peach blossom eyes curving into crescents, a slight flush of excitement on her pretty face.

"As long as you don't make me complete any suicidal missions, that's fine. Although I can no longer find meaning in living, I carry the last wishes of my loved ones and must live well in this world."

Gennō looked up in the direction of Yanyang Village, seemingly recalling his dying wife and children. They hadn't blamed him for failing to protect them, but he felt extremely guilty.

"Then, Mr. Gennō, do you have any wishes? If possible, our organization might be able to help you achieve them."

Strike with a stick, then offer a sweet date—this is the way to manage subordinates. If he had no aspirations, then give him one.

Ling wasn't sure if she could fulfill it, but as she grew stronger, there shouldn't be many things she couldn't achieve.

"Ah?" Gennō's sorrowful expression almost couldn't be maintained. Was there such a benefit to joining an organization?

"If possible, I'd like to see my wife and children again. There's an apology I haven't said."

Gennō, this honest man, didn't even ask Ling to revive his wife and children. What a big pushover!

Although for resurrection, currently in the Ninja World, perhaps only the Rinnegan could revive people who had been dead for so long.

But even with resurrection, Ling wasn't too worried. This world has a place for souls called the Pure Land of the Underworld. Reviving someone who still has a soul shouldn't be too difficult.

In the later stages, she could extract a large amount of Jujutsu and other things from her golden finger. The Jujutsu Kaisen World is so vast, and the manga only shows a small part. There will always be some mysterious and unprecedented cursed techniques, such as resurrection. (Indeed, not many cursed techniques appear in the Jujutsu Kaisen World. Some will likely be original later. If you dislike this, please leave a comment here.)

"No problem. If your performance is very good, we can let you see your wife and children again."

Ling didn't feel like she was making an empty promise at all. Anyway, she had added a prerequisite and wasn't asking herself to fulfill his wish to see his wife and children right now.

"Really? Is it truly possible? Then—that's wonderful!"

Gennō's eyes were a little red, but he still didn't cry. As a mature Ninja, he was indeed very Tolerate (patient/enduring).

Meanwhile, Black Zetsu, eavesdropping underground, was somewhat puzzled. For someone as valueless as Gennō, in his eyes, he was just a disposable pawn.

Was it necessary to go to such great lengths for such a useless person? Or was it that this Null Organization's affairs in the Ninja World were decided solely by this young girl?

He was thinking if there was anything he could exploit. Although Ling could not become Madara's spokesperson now, to monitor the execution of the Eye of the Moon Plan after his death.

But with such an organization, he only needed to slightly leverage it, and perhaps he could use this organization to serve him without anyone knowing.

Although he had planned the Eye of the Moon Plan for a thousand years, now that it was upon him, he wasn't sure if he could truly rescue his mother.

"Now, to avoid attracting Konoha's attention, you need to first remove and store the Exploding Tags in secluded locations. Then, for places with heavy foot traffic, you can proceed gradually."

Ling didn't intend to let these Exploding Tags remain in Konoha Village, lest one day, while she was sleeping, someone's Ninjutsu accidentally detonated one of them.

If all the Exploding Tags detonated in a chain reaction, blowing her and Konoha sky-high, that would be quite a spectacle.

"Understood. I will first deal with the Exploding Tags in Fire Shadow Rock. As for the other Exploding Tags, they are currently in residential areas. Previously, these locations were planned as shops in the bustling city, but later they were converted into housing for some refugees."

Gennō took out a map, which was the current fan-shaped map of Konoha. Many places were marked with Exploding Tag symbols, with only the later expanded areas unmarked.

"Also, I need you to teach me how to create Exploding Tags and this method of secretly placing them."

Ling was not at all polite. She knew that building a good relationship wasn't about how much you helped someone, but rather how much they helped you.

He was determined to fleece him. Anyway, if Gennō died, this technique would be lost, and she would be carrying on the legacy of Ninjutsu for the Ninja World.

"Hmm, alright. But can you tell me what method you'll use to let me see my wife and children again?"

Although Gennō was sure that Ling had a mysterious large organization behind her, he and Black Zetsu came to the same conclusion as Orochimaru.

That is, Ling might be the only person this organization supports in the Ninja World. Otherwise, it couldn't explain why she knew so much information but had a relatively weak foundation.

Because that organization hadn't invested too many resources or help in Ling, perhaps it was a test, allowing Ling to grow on her own.

"Ah?!!! This, this, can Edo Tensei work?"

Ling scratched her cheek. She was afraid Gennō would immediately ask her to demonstrate it, otherwise, she would be exposed.

But she didn't know that the Null Organization she had fabricated was actually elaborated upon by Orochimaru, Gennō, and Black Zetsu themselves, even filling in the illogical parts.

And this person, who was seen as a wolf king in everyone's eyes, actually thought she was just a husky.

"Edo Tensei? I haven't heard of it, but I believe you. This is the legacy of all my techniques, including my mechanisms and trap making."

Gennō took out a large scroll from a sealing scroll and handed it to Ling. It seemed he had prepared his legacy long ago.

He probably knew that his legacy from Yanyang Village would be lost after his death, which is why he prepared it early.

"Oh, then thank you very much. Once I learn that Edo Tensei, I will help you. However, Edo Tensei requires a part of the deceased's remains as a medium, so you'd best prepare it early."
