Chapter 6 - 6. “Morgan le Fay Appears”

A sky-spanning white dragon circled above.

To the people below, it was a living disaster.

Each pass over their heads crushed them with terror.

This was the master of the British Isles—Tyrant King Vortigern.

The last solitary dragon guarding mystery.

A shackle on human civilization.

If he wasn't defeated, the age of humanity would never arrive.

The suffocating dread on screen made viewers feel they couldn't breathe.

[This is too real—like it's actually happening!]

[That blast made me think: "Burst Stream of Destruction!"]

[Stop, the more you say it, the more I can hear it. Now my head is full of boss and Blue-Eyes.]

[Wait, where did they even get that dragon? Is it really just FX?]

[It looks alive in front of me…]

The apocalypse dragon attacked Arthur.

"As long as I'm on this island, I am invincible. How can you kill me?"

Only one human and one dragon faced each other now.

To outsiders, Arthur's small frame was like a candle in a gale.

But she showed no fear.

Instead, she raised Excalibur, pointing to the dragon's head.

"Who dares claim invincibility? Who dares claim defeat is impossible? Your so-called invincibility is a joke to me."

"A joke? Then let that joke swallow you whole."

The dragon gathered terrifying mana.

"Your death is fated—and I will deliver it."

Excalibur blazed gold.

A faint red glow pulsed at Arthur's chest as the Red Dragon Core poured mana into the blade.

The holy sword guarding humanity roared to its limit.

"Meet your end, Tyrant King!"

"Excalibur!"

A dazzling beam erupted, cleaving toward the white dragon.

Heat without limit pierced its body.

Viewers' eyes were stolen by the light.

Blood poured from its belly, sizzling under the beam's heat.

Even Excalibur hummed violently in Arthur's hand.

This was her strongest strike.

The dragon fell, dust exploding.

"Our king is the strongest!"

"King Arthur!"

The knights behind her roared her name.

They were proud—the one who slew the dragon was their king.

[Is that really King Arthur? Can a human unleash that?]

[Reminder: Excalibur is a holy sword forged not by humans but by the planet—crystallized inside the Earth, fueled by faith, the ultimate divine construct.]

[I've never seen the real King Arthur fight. This power must be top-tier among Heroic Spirits.]

[That settles it. Arthur is my idol. Tomorrow the limited figure sale starts—I'm getting ready.]

Then the comments abruptly thinned.

"I told you—you can't kill me. I am the island itself. To kill me, you'd have to destroy the whole island. That strike wasn't enough."

"And you didn't draw out Excalibur's full might. How could the sword that protects the Earth harm me, who am part of the Earth?"

Dust settled.

Vortigern rose, shaking off rubble.

The hole Excalibur punched through was already healing.

In a few breaths, it vanished.

The knights fell silent, terror in their eyes.

"Hmph. Tough life you've got."

Arthur snorted and drew a second sword.

Left hand Excalibur. Right hand Caliburn.

"Sis, your turn. Killing him is on you."

Arthur gathered mana again and roared to the sky.

"Understood, my lovely little sister."

A lazy, seductive voice echoed.

A colossal magic circle formed on the ground.

"Hmph, Vortigern. Even if you are Britannia's incarnation, I—Britannia's true mistress—can sever you from the island!"

A woman with snow-white hair appeared behind Arthur.

Her gaze toward Arthur overflowed with warmth and adoration.

"Impossible… Morgan le Fay! Weren't you and Arthur mortal enemies?! Why are you helping her?"

Vortigern stared in disbelief.

"Watch your mouth. As for why… you're about to die. Why would I explain?"

Morgan's eyes glinted coldly.

The magic circle beneath the dragon spun at high speed.

"My sister—finish him."

After those words, Morgan vanished.

"Mm. Thank you… Sister."

Arthur thanked her, then faced the dragon.

Twin blades fully charged.

"Take one last look at this world. It's your final chance."

"Excalibur!"

"Caliburn!"

Two blazing beams merged into one, crushing down.

"No! I am immortal! I will devour that man's lineage—how can I die here?!"

The dragon screamed its last.

BOOM—

The strike was even stronger than before. The beam engulfed Vortigern entirely.

When the light faded, the dragon was gone.

A breath of silence—then thunderous cheers.
