And upon leaving it he noticed he was in a city, but he didn't recognize the city and he had no idea where he was. "Where am I? What happened?" Ben asked. Then he remembered the person that did this to him. ~Flashback~ Ben was walking down the streets of Bellwood, it was a quiet day for him. There weren't any bad guys out and about to bust. He'd just put away the Vreedle Brothers for trying to rob a World War Two History Museum, the other day. He was kinda bored if he had to be honest, all in all, he was hoping for some action. Granted he didn't want death and destruction to come to his friends and hometown, even though it seemed to follow him whenever he wore the Omnitrix. But at this point, it was either him or some evil, corrupt, sociopathic, villainous, warlord, nutjob. Hellbent on conquering the whole universe. So, he'd put up with it, he had fun fighting bad guys and being a Hero anyway. On his way to Mr. Smoothie, his favorite hangout spot, he heard an explosion, followed by screams of terror. He rushed toward the sounds to see a man in strange, golden armor the likes Ben had never seen before. The only reason he could tell it was a man was because of the voice The only reason he could tell it was a man was because of the voice. "Where is Ben Tennyson?!" He shouted at the top of his lungs as he fired off some weird-looking beam from his hands. "I'm right here! Now, what do you want you golden chrome dome!" Ben shouted. "So the rumors are true. All someone needs to do to get an audience with you is cause some destruction, a little rampant chaos, and you come running. Perfect now, come with me." The man said threateningly. "Yeah. How 'bout no." Ben said and turned into a giant tan dinosaur, and as he did he shouted. But the man only tilted his left, right, then left again as if studying the bipedal dinosaur from another planet. "Look buddy, I don't know who you are or where you came from. And to be honest, I don't really care. So just make this easy so I can go back to having a RELATIVELY good day." Ben said. The man said nothing and just stood there doing nothing. Until he fired a bolt of unknown energy right at Ben's chest. Ben tanked the blast, but it stung. Now that says something considering a Vaxisaurian has an extremely thick hide and even has armor plating on its arms, back, head, and shoulders. And it gets more when it grows, as well as stegosaurus-like planting along its back and spikes coming from its tail. Ben roared at the man and charged him. When he got close enough he swung his right arm back and brought it up only to drop it down on top of the man. But a field of energy seemed to be protecting him and just barely caught the attack. It left a huge crater around the man. Ben then noticed that the man was focusing his full attention on Ben's right arm, keeping Ben from hitting him. He decided to hit him with his left arm. To Ben's surprise, and luck, the attack hit its mark. As the man walked out of the wreckage, he appeared to be an older man. Perhaps in his late 40's, with medium-length silver hair. He took his helmet off and threw his chest plate to the ground. They then started punching each other until they launched each other to the other side of the parking lot. Ben turned around to see a giant ball of what he thought was energy five inches from his face. When it hit him, he took the full brunt of the force to his face and chest. He was sent flying through the sign for Mr. Smoothies and into the building across the street. But much to his surprise, Ben was able to not only dodge the attack but, rather acrobatically, double front flip over it and, with one of his gorillaish/lion-like front paws, he grabbed a light post dodging another attack by stopping short of where the beam of dangerous magic energy was being aimed. Using his centripetal force to spin around and launch himself at the strange man. As he pinned the man to the ground and just Ben roared in his face, he was struck by a bolt of black lightning. Sending him onto his back. As the man got to his feet a blueish-green crystalized fist slammed into his face launching him into the air. The Officer said and saluted. Just then the man started laughing. "UGH! What now!?" Ben shouted in frustration. The man did not speak, instead, his eyes changed from golden amber to ruby red. Then a red magic circle appeared around Ben and in an instant, Ben felt a form of power flow through his body. When he opened his eyes he saw a second version of himself. At that point, Ben couldn't determine whether he was the original or the copy. Then a blinding red light surrounded him and he passed out. ~End of flashback~ "Oh. Now I remember. That JACKASS RUINED MY DAY!" Ben shouted. He walked out and saw the man again, this time in a black suit with a grey tie. "You again!? I'll take you down it doesn't matter where you've brought me." Ben said. "What about to a universe where people don't know you, because both you and the Omnitrix do not exist?" The man said. This made Ben remove his hand from the Omnitrix's faceplate. "Good. Now the reason you, the Plumbers, and the Omnitrix do not exist, is because Azmuth." The man said. "Galvans don't exist?! Do all aliens not exist? Is this universe just filled with normal people? Why am I here?" Ben asked him. The man then said. "To answer your questions. You are not the only alien in this universe. There are plenty of them out there and a good number of them don't exist in your universe. As for how many of the aliens in the Omnitrix exist, almost none of them exist. And there are other beings other than humans. Such as gods, demi-gods, magicians, beings known as metahumans, the list goes on and on. But, all of your enemies and plenty of allies have been brought here as well. But, anyway, you are here to assist a group known as the Justice League." 3 "...Justice League? Really?" Ben asked unimpressed. "Yes. It is a bit of a silly name I agree. But, they are a group of superheroes." The man told Ben. Ben was in shock at this, he had run-ins with The Galactic Enforcers, a group he assumed would be similar. But the only other superheroes in his world had been Captain Nemesis, who turned evil, and Kangaroo Commando, who was originally a TV show superhero but became a real one... and then turned evil. "You said the supernatural exists. To what degree?" Ben asked. "Devils, Angels, Fallen Angels exist, magicians, exorcists, gods and demons, things of the like. The list is rather lengthy so, for specifics you'd need to find out yourself. Now, I will send you to be captured by an organization known in this world as Cadmus." The man said. "Like the first King of Thebes, Cadmus? That Greek legend who would sew dragon teeth into the ground and make new races from it, Cadmus?" Ben asked. "... So it is true. You know more than you let on." The man said smirking at Ben. "What can I say? I like it when people underestimate me." Ben said in defense. "Anyway, you will a subject there and it will have to do with the Omnitrix. You will have been captured and they will have tried to use your Omnitrix to create an army of aliens that would listen to them. But, due to the fail safes, they would be unsuccessful. And so being unable to destroy you due to the failsafe, they would lock you away under the designation Subject:10, Project Alien Force, Project Status: Failure. Due to this failure, they would move onto Project: Kr, Subject designation: Superboy. Within the next few seconds, you'll know all you need to about this universe, everything else will be up to you to discover. Now, are you prepared?" The man asked. "For what?" Ben asked. "You will be rescued by three Sidekicks, Robin, Aqualad, and Kid Flash. As well as Subject: Superboy. From there you're on your own." The man said snapped his fingers. 3 The next thing Ben knew he was unconscious. He then heard the sound of a man's voice in his head, echoing telling him to wake up. 'It is time for you to wake up. Quickly. Time is of the essence Wake up, NOW!' Ben was then shocked awake, he then noticed he was in a similar contraption as the one Vilgax put him in when he was ten. 'Where the hell- Oh right. I was told by that guy that I was captured by an organization called Cadmus. Although I have new memories to go with that now.' He thought to himself and remembered the newly implanted memories. He was dropped into this new world, so he's still not from this universe, but was captured immediately and put in this device restricting his ability to use the Omnitrix. After a few weeks of them trying and then constantly failing to use the Omnitrix for themselves, he had then been put into a chemically induced coma for the past few weeks and was now awake. 4 He then heard people on the other side of the door. "Oh, come on! What else is gonna be in here?" One voice asked in annoyance. "Hold on, this is apparently a failed project they keep under lock and key. Project: Alien Force, strange name." Another said. "Well, let's get inside so we can recuperate." A more poised voice told them. "I don't care, let's just get on with it." An angry one said. The door slid open, and four teens stood in the doorway as they looked at Ben in shock. On the far left was a short teen with black hair, he wore a red and black costume with yellow R over his left peck, a black cape that had a yellow underside, he wore a yellow utility belt and a domino mask. To his left was a red-headed boy in a yellow and red suit that looked like it was designed for running, he had a red lightning bolt symbol on his chest and had red lightning bolts on the sides of his head, he also had red goggles. To the left of him was a tall, muscular boy in an all-white one-piece suit with a shield logo over the chest with an S in the center of said logo. Next to him was another boy, similar in height and build, but he wore a red shirt with blue tights that had fins coming off the back of the calves. He looked down and saw he was wearing the same kind of suit as the boy in all white except his had the Omnitrix symbol where the S shield was on the other boy's. "Who is he, Rob?" The red head asked. "Let me see." The boy Ben now knew as Rob said before typing on a holographic computer from his wrist. "It says here that he has no ID. They apparently found him, saw what he was capable of, and took him, prisoner. They have him classified as Subject:10." Rob said. "Why is he still alive if the project was deemed a failure?" The with tattoos asked. "It says here that they physically couldn't kill him. Every time they tried something would happen and he'd still be there." Rob said. "Does it say what happened?" Asked the boy with tattoos. "No. Nothing. Just that in a flash of green he'd have survived." Rob told him. They all looked at Ben and then Rob started typing away at the console. Suddenly, Ben was free. However, he still had a large device around his wrist blocking his access to the Omnitrix. 2 The boy in white walked over to him and was going to remove the muzzle before the door was forced open by a large troll-like creature. Ben made a motion with his right arm to attack them, he then grabbed a piece of rebar and ran alongside them as they all made their escape. They were eventually cornered by a bunch of odd creatures; Ben still only had the rebar but a man in a lab coat showed up. "Project Blockbuster will give me the power to restore order to Cadmus." He said and then downed a vial of blue liquid. He then changed into a large blue monster with shreds of skin from his previous form draping off him. The boy in white, now known as Superboy jumped and attacked the creature. On his second attack, they were sent through the ceiling. "Ok. That's one way to bust through the ceiling." Robin, or Rob as Ben heard, said before firing a line into the roof above. "Do you think lab coat planned that?" The redhead, known as Kid Flash, asked. While Ben shook his head no. Aqualad, the boy with the tattoos said. "I doubt he is planning anything anymore." And jumped with Ben to the first floor. There they saw the Superboy getting flung around like a ragdoll. When it came time to fight the man turned monster, they all took turns beating on him. Though Ben didn't do much in the way of actually hurting him and neither did Robin. Although Robin came up with an idea while the other three were keeping him busy. "So if we destroy these pillars, we'll bring the whole place on top of him. What do you think?" Robin asked Ben who nodded in agreement. Robin handed him some discs to throw when the time was right and then explained the plan to Superboy, Kid Flash, and Aqualad. After setting it up they destroyed all the pillars with ease. Ben threw the discs into the roof of the building at particular spots Robin pointed out. After they blew, the entire building came down on top of them, Ben had to hide under an already broken pillar to block the rubble from landing on his head. He was, however, stuck there and couldn't move until Superboy found him and dug him out. Just then figures came floating down from the moon they wore colorful costumes and outfits. Then Ben remembered, this was the Justice League. These were the people he was supposed to help out. He had been given the basics on who they were but nothing on their secret identities. After they had all landed, Superman had walked up to the five boys, Superboy walked up to him and showed him the S shield. He was surprised at first but then put on a scowl. Batman then asked. "Is that what I think it is?" Kid Flash then said. "He doesn't like being called an 'It'." "I'm Superman's clone." Superboy said with an intense tone. This took everyone by surprise, everyone but Batman who simply squinted and said. "Start talking." After they explained everything about Cadmus and Superboy, they eventually asked about Ben. "We don't know actually. The information that wasn't scrubbed was all really vague and didn't make sense." Robin said. "Has he said anything?" Flash asked. Ben proceeded to point to the muzzle still on his mouth. "Right, sorry. We'll get that off." Flash said. Ben then pointed to the device covering the Omnitrix. "That too." Batman added. And Superman ripped the muzzle and clamp off of Ben. "Ugh. Finally. Anyway, I'm from an alternate universe." Ben told them. Batman then repeated his words from earlier. "Start talking." "Well, to start. Multiple universes are a thing, as well as alternate timelines and dimensions. They are all separate places you can go to in space and time." Ben said shocking everyone, this time even getting a response from the bat-like man himself. Ben then continued. "I'm a Hero from my universe. I have the ability to transform into different alien species using this. "It's a device that changes my DNA to that of an alien species I select. I retain my personality and consciousness whenever I transform. I turn into a version of that species at peak physical health and conditioning. It's meant to be used as a bridge between species. However, others would want to use it for war. I've used it since I was ten." Ben told her. "Since you were TEN!?" They all shouted. "Yeah, is that not normal?" Ben asked. "What are you doing here?" Batman asked. "As for that. I was fighting some random asshat. He apparently made an exact copy of me. Down to the memories and genetic code. We're so alike that not even either of us could figure out who's the original. But, he sent me here. After that, I just remember someone saying, 'Help them.' then I was attacked by these Cadmus freaks. They tried to figure out how to use the Omnitrix for their own gain but failed. I, in turn, turned into a failed project. And since they couldn't kill me, they had no choice but to keep me locked away." Ben told them. 1 "Why couldn't they kill you. From the sound of it, they had no problem going through with it with these three." Green Arrow asked. "No, I mean they couldn't kill me as in I literally couldn't be killed." Ben informed them. This left them all in shock. "How's that even possible?" Aquaman asked. "The Omnitrix. It's got fail safes to keep the user alive." Ben told them all. After having to take that in Ben noticed the green hourglass on the Omnitrix had turned yellow. He pointed it at Green Arrow and noticed it was focused on someone else. He turned it until it locked up with Superman. Suddenly a yellow light scanned Superman up and down, it then stopped, and the hourglass turned green again. The Omnitrix then said in Ben's voice. [Genetic Sample Acquired.] "What was that?" Superman asked in a rather intense tone. "I scanned your DNA and got your species as a transformation." Ben told him. "So, you can turn into a Kryptonian now?" Superman asked him. "Wait, did you say Kryptonian? As in the inhabitants of Krypton?" Ben asked. Superman nodded. "What the hell? You're not dangerous, are you?" Ben asked very concerned. "What? No. Why are you acting like Kryptonians are a threat?" Superman asked almost offended. "Cause where I'm from, they ARE a threat." Ben said staring down the Kryptonian, with a look that rivaled Batman's. They all went silent then took some time to talk things over while others took the man turned monster, now classified as Blockbuster, away. 15 After some time, the five boys began getting impatient, especially Superboy. Ben was the only one who seemed calm, which was off-putting to everyone considering his situation. Eventually, Superman came over to talk to Superboy, even if it seemed like he didn't really want to. "We'll uh-We'll figure something out for you. The both of you" He said as he gestured to Ben. He then added as if trying to distance himself from Superboy as much as possible. "The League will. I mean. For now, I'd better make sure they get that Blockbuster creature squared away." He then turned around and flew off in a hurry. From behind Batman's voice started talking to them. "Cadmus will be investigated, all 52 levels, but let's make one thing clear." Flash finished his thought by saying "You should've called." "End results aside, we are not happy. You hacked Justice League systems, disobeyed direct orders, and endangered lives. You will not be doing this again." Batman said. Aqualad spoke up. "I am sorry, but we will." This made Ben smirk. "Aqualad, stand down." Aquaman ordered him like a soldier despite the boy not looking a day older than 17 or 18, roughly being Ben's age. Ben himself was almost 18 and he didn't like it when teens and children were treated like soldiers which is partially the reason why he immediately shot to the rank of magister in the Plumbers in the first place, that way he could help out teens who enlisted into the Plumbers. "Apologizes, my king, but no." Aqualad said to him. 'Respectfully disobeying orders. Haven't seen that before, but I like it.' Ben thought. Aqualad continued. "We did good work here tonight, the work you trained us to do. Together, on our own, we forged something powerful, important." "If this is about your treatment at the hall, the three of you-" Flash said getting cut off by his own protege. "The five of us, and it's not." "Batman, if we're not going to use what you taught us, why teach us at all?" Robin said. Superboy then spoke after fuming for a bit. "Why let them tell us what to do? It's simple. Get on board or get out of the way." Finally, Ben spoke up. "I like that. The burning passion these guys have is fucking fantastic. And let's not forget, I can turn into aliens that you have never seen before, with powers beyond your comprehension." Ben said stepping up to Batman and looking him dead in the eyes. Batman gave his patented Batglare, which made all the teens behind Ben back up and even made the Heroes around Batman nervous, but Ben stood still, the same look on his face when he challenged the Batman. This made the others think he was an idiot, while others could tell from his demeanor, he actually wasn't afraid, which then made them think he was an idiot. "Just so you know Batman, you aren't the scariest thing I've seen, neither is Superman or the rest of the League. I've starred down warlords that make your little glare here look like puppy dog eyes. ...Your move, what's it gonna be? Oh, and due be smart about it, I wouldn't want to kick all your asses out in public." Ben said. This then made the entire League believe this kid was crazy. "Fine." Batman said. Ben smiled and said. "Smart move." 24 Three days later they were all at a mountain, supposedly called Mount Justice, in Maine. "This cave was the original secret sanctuary of the Justice League. We're calling it into service again. Since you, five are determined to stay together and fight the good fight, you'll do it on League terms. Red Tornado volunteered to live here and be your supervisor. Black Canary's in charge of training. I will deploy on missions." Batman explained. "Real Missions?" Robin asked now in civilian clothes but wearing dark sunglasses to cover his eyes. "Yes, but covert." Batman told them. "The League will still handle the obvious stuff. There's a reason we have these big targets on our chests." "Yeah, but we have 'em too." Ben said under his breath but loud enough to be heard by all. "But, Cadmus proves the bad guys are getting smarter. Batman needs a team that can operate on the sly." Aquaman said. "The six of you will be that team." Batman finished. "Cool! Wait, six?" Robin asked. "This is the Martian Manhunter's niece, Miss Martian." Batman said. " Batman said 3 "Hi." she said nervously. 'Aw, that's cute.' Ben thought. "Liking this gig more every minute." "Well to be fair they know us as Superboy and 10." Superboy said gesturing to himself and Ben. "Fair point." Ben said. "I'm honored to be included." The three of them walked over to Miss Martian. Robin then called them both over. "Hey, Superboy, 10. Come meet miss M." The two walked over and Miss Martian's cape disappeared into her shirt and then the shirt changed to match Ben's. "I like your shirt." She said. "Thanks, it looks good on you too." Ben said causing her to blush. 14
