Her feet nearly tripped over a rock as she watched her biological father suddenly drag her into this narrow alley. The absence of anyone passing by made her even more terrified. The alley was so dark it was only lit by two dim streetlights that if she screamed for help, no one would notice her.
She hadn't seen his cruel father in months, since her birthday. She'd never wanted to communicate with her again. Why would her father suddenly want to see her? It was impossible to admit her mistakes.
"What are you doing?" she asked sharply.
The father smiled sarcastically and reached his right hand toward his daughter's tiny face. However, he stopped himself just before his hand could actually slap her.
"Of course I have missed you so much all this time, my daughter."
She nearly vomited when she heard those disgusting words from her cruel father. "Didn't you sell me to Alexander? You don't deserve to be my father now! Didn't you already decide not to communicate with me anymore?"
