Jefferson laughed awkwardly as Flint finally realized his fiancée was about to be stolen. Now Jefferson wouldn't reveal his plans to Flint so he wouldn't realize the small mistake he made to Carabella that hurt her feelings.
For now, Jefferson was still feigning innocence, as he didn't like to engage in excessive small talk with Flint. What was certain was that he was increasingly impatient to see what his future wife would look like in a wedding dress.
"I stole your fiancé?" He laughed so hard his cheeks turned red. "Am I crazy? How could I steal your fiancé when I'm already engaged?"
Flint still grinned at his enemy, still not fully trusting him. "I'm just warning you not to act foolishly. I've seen you try to steal my fiancée lately."
"Flint, if I had any intention of stealing your fiancée, I would have done so from the start." His right hand patted his enemy's thigh. "I suggest you pay more attention to your fiancée. Maybe another man will steal her."
