The dance partners were now reversed. Jefferson danced with Carabella, while Flint danced with Larissa. The guests watching the dance performance burst into applause, as the dance transition was quite impressive. Luckily, they didn't start gossiping about Jefferson not dancing with his fiancée in the end.
Carabella stared at the handsome face of the perfectionist CEO, unblinking. Although dancing with Flint had initially made her feel stiff, dancing with Jefferson made her feel less awkward. Was it because she'd been practicing dancing with Jefferson for the past week that she'd gotten used to it?
Just as Carabella was about to move back to Flint, Jefferson deliberately grabbed her hand and wrapped his arm tightly around her slender waist. She felt like her body was being tightly restrained.
"Are you okay?" Jefferson asked with a worried look.
She nodded. "I'm fine. Thank you for saving me earlier."
