CHAPTER 14- fight!.
After 4 days of training and exploring, the tournament finally arrived. Everyone was hyped for this, some people even placed their debates early.
"Gentlemen!" a voice roared "and ladies. Welcome to the great Silver Dust Academy for Magic!" a voice blasted from the roof.
The crowd cheered
"Every single one of you will fight, and depending on your abilities and strength you will be put in a rank!!" the voice continued. "but first we obviously need some introductions!"
"There are two teachers for every ability, for example if your fight ended up awful and you have water magic, you'll be placed in the lowest rank for hydro!! I'll now present to you! Your teachers!!"
The gates opened as 8 high classed people walked to the arena
"These teachers will rate what rank you should be in! they are!!:
Teacher Nami!!"
"Nami and Xiang are the only women to receive high ranks despite their genders!" Ravi said.
"That's so badass," Thalia replied.
She had a dark-orange bob streaked with red, the colours shimmering like a sunset reflecting on water. Delicate, silver water-shaped hair ornaments dangled from her hair.
Her kimono mixed royal blue and silver — a short silver jacket with wide sleeves layered over a navy skirt decorated with elegant silver spider lilies.
"Heyyy!" she shouted, waving excitedly. "best rank 2 teacher! I can't wait to meet you all!"
The crowd reacted instantly to her energetic presence.
"next up! Mrs Xiang! Prank 1 hydro teacher!" the voice roared
She walked with calm precision, her steps as smooth as the ocean at night. Her hair was a glossy deep-sea blue, flowing behind her like drifting water. Her eyes were dark and reflective, almost unreadable.
She wore a traditional hanfu of dark teal and navy, embroidered with deep-green lotus flowers. In her hand she carried a jellyfish-shaped umbrella, its translucent edges glowing faintly.
"Greetings," Xiang said, bowing politely.
"next up! 2 earth teachers, let me introduce you! Kasem and Hoa!"
Kasem's tanned brown skin shimmered like the bark of an ancient oak. His voluminous plum-coloured hair fell to his shoulders in soft waves, mimicking autumn. His sharp forest-green eyes sparkled with confidence as he stepped forward.
"I want the strongest men in my group!" he announced proudly. "I'm Kasem — Rank 1 Earth Teacher!"
His sleeveless robe, dyed in deep autumn shades, moved dramatically with each movement, matching his bold personality.
A confident laugh echoed next to him
"Oh please, Kas. We both know most of the students will choose my class."
Hoa rolled his pale spring-pink eyes, a teasing smirk on his lips. "I'm rank two teacher Hoa."
Kasem clicked his tongue. "Don't get cocky."
the voice continued "the 4 remaining teachers from the fire group and wind group: Pawan and Salkhi from the wind group and bara and Agni from the fire group are running late! A classic. Anyway, let me say the rules!"
"Agni is from my city. He's one of the strongest" Ravi explained. "Unlike everyone in our nation, he has fire magic, not the common earth and nature magic you know"
"Ah…" Nerina said, "Teacher Xiang, is pretty. I hope I end up being in her class" Nerina continued
"if I end up winning, I'll go to the earth group" Thalia said
"no killing, or no serious and permanent injuries or you'll be kicked out for example amputating a person's limbs, no cheating, you're allowed potions but at you level, anything you can't control can lead to annihilation, you'll need to be in groups of 3 or two! Blah blah blah. Anyway!
Contestants! This magic ball will determine who you'll fight with in this very arena! I hope you all the best in your fights!" the voice echoed again. "Let's welcome two contestants!" a massive ball was spun. It took up half the arena.
