Story Arc: Vanguard Academy Arc
No POV:
People in another area could see the red smoke and just assumed that the hunters were doing their best against the devil.
Meanwhile the source of the smoke was not any of the hunters or the devil they came for. The smoke was as a result of a certain red devil as he still stood there menacingly staring blankly at those present; face still bleeding. At that moment the ground started to shake as red energy and steam began to emanate from his body.
Jax called out to her "Hayley!!! The situation is escalating what should we do??"
But unknown to him, his question fell on deaf ears as the person he was talking to; whose name was Hayley, was too focus on the sight in front of her...
Just a moment ago she saw a teenage who was about to give up on his life but now all she saw was a raging red devil who looked like he was about to pounce. The next moment, the said devil then slowly lifted his eyes to meet hers and at that point she froze. She saw deep into its glowing yellow eyes and felt murderous aura all emmiting from one entity. She didn't know when she started to shake as this was the first time she was witnessing such a thing.
Hayley POV:
I stood there and watched as the teenage boy who was once ready for his death was seething with rage and murderous intent. I've heard that these type of things happen often but are rare to come by. This wasn't only a special case but it was a very serious case too. I was wondering in my head when the devil took his first step. I could feel the ground rumble as he took another step, then another and another. I deduced that the devil hadn't yet gotten it's power under full control since its devil energy was wild; flaring up everywhere in the process. It kept walking slowly over to the other devil present and Suddenly he vanished leaving a cloud of smoke in it's wake.I then recalled seeing that face at the school we went to evacuate and remembered some people calling him Drex.... I think.
When the smoke cleared, I saw the two devil's locked in a fierce exchange of blows with Drex growling wildly. In a swift second the other devil took a step back giving way for his little army to attack. They all swarmed him and it looked as though he was about to get eaten.
'Shit!!'
I was getting ready to attack when suddenly the red bodied devil eviscerated all the devils that swarmed him. The next moment were filled with Drex cutting through every devil he saw. He was on a rampage.
As soon as he cut down the last one he turned back to the devil that caused this and lounged at him. They started to exchange blows once more and they both seemed to be doing damage on each other effectively. But at the same time I noticed something... Every wound the red bodied devil got started to heal as the blood leaking from him soon disappeared; all except his bleeding left eye where the scar was present. The fight didn't last long as both Devils were already exhausted and one spoke up..
"heh.. I see you took the power. That power wasn't meant for you and it would end up killing you at some point *exhales* but I promise you that I'll kill you the next time we meet before that scar...."
However before he could finish, the red bodied devil launched an explosive attack at the former destroying a row of houses behind. When the smoke cleared it seems that the devil escaped but the red bodied devil still stood panting heavily as he turned to face us. Out of instinct vax was ready to charge at him but we were shocked to see what happened next: The body of the devil slowly began to loose its colour as both the hair and eyes reverted to normal. As the skin color completely faded it returned back to a normal human skin as he collapsed. We rushed over to him and saw that he was unconscious but still breathing not knowing what to do we called our commander to know what our next move would be: either to bring him back with us or to kill him right here.
