Morris's POV
Sergio watched Ana and Ridley walk away, then turned to me with confusion written across his face. "Morris, isn't Ana walking into danger? That guy screams trouble."
I glanced down at him sideways, deliberately avoiding his question. "You talk way too much when you're around her."
Sergio went quiet for a beat before asking, "What's that supposed to mean?"
"You know exactly what I mean." The jealousy burned in my chest.
Even Sergio, who usually missed every social cue, could sense something was off now.
He stepped closer with a knowing grin, practically vibrating with gossip. "Wait a minute—I was wondering why someone as swamped as you suddenly cared so much about my startup. Connecting us, tagging along to meet my potential partner... Turns out my business contact is actually the woman you're crazy about!"
I didn't bother denying it. "Good. Now you get it."
Sergio's eyes lit up with interest. "So why aren't you out there? That guy's clearly got bad intentions."
