Ridley frantically searched for Hughes, his anxiety mounting with each passing minute.
He dialed Hughes's number repeatedly, but every call went unanswered.
After repeated desperate attempts, Hughes finally picked up.
The instant the connection went through, Ridley's voice exploded through the phone. "Where the hell are you?"
Hughes jumped at Ridley's furious tone, his small body shaking before he stammered out his location.
"Stay put," Ridley growled. "Don't move a muscle."
He ended the call and headed straight for Callum Studio's entrance.
Since being kicked out by Morris, Hughes hadn't budged from his spot.
He sat curled up on the pavement outside Callum Studio, arms wrapped around his knees.
Several concerned passersby stopped to check on him, asking if he was lost or separated from his parents.
Hughes shook his head politely. "My mommy works here. My daddy's coming to get me soon."
The good Samaritans moved on after hearing his explanation.
