Ana's POV
Morris's voice carried that familiar deep, magnetic quality that always affected me.
Heat crept up my neck at his words. I steadied myself, gently pushing him back and straightening in my seat.
"That's amusing, but I don't believe in taking shortcuts," I replied. "Don't worry, Mr. Welch. Callum Studio will secure this contract!"
Morris's gaze met mine, and I could see him taking in the confidence that sparkled there.
His smile broadened. I could tell he appreciated my determination and energy.
I remained in Morris's office for a while longer, absorbing every detail of the project requirements before preparing to return to my studio.
Morris's expression darkened with displeasure.
Exhaustion had been weighing on him lately, and I sensed he simply wanted more time together. It seemed like his way of recharging.
