Ana's POV
After Jerry finished his remarks, Zachery's cold stare fixed on Thomas and me. "Since you won't pay compensation, I'm calling the cops."
I gave a firm nod. "Good. Even if you hadn't mentioned it, I was planning to report this myself."
Susan's face showed she hadn't expected my response.
I pulled out my phone, fingers ready to dial as I addressed Zachery directly. "We walked into your shop as paying customers, only to get slandered by your staff working with other buyers, then pressured into buying overpriced items. It's not about whether we can afford it—we despise your dirty, scheming tactics."
Zachery had only threatened police involvement, knowing full well that having cops in his store would hurt business.
He lunged forward, trying to grab my phone from my hands.
Thomas's expression turned ice-cold behind his sunglasses as he moved to my side, his gaze cutting through Zachery like a blade.
