Chapter 44: Earth
Turles didn't know his small mischievous whim had directly caused Vegeta to learn aura concealment and ki sensing early, making Vegeta's strength dramatically greater than canon while making him covet Kakarot prematurely—already en route to Earth.
Turles—this butterfly—finally began stirring waves in the Dragon Ball world!
However, these matters temporarily couldn't affect Turles. Because after two weeks, they'd already reached their destination via hyperspace ship—Earth.
Looking at this blue planet—identical to his memories—Turles felt deeply moved.
Though having changed worlds, this planet still brought Turles a trace of intimacy, also making him develop more identification with this world.
Transmigrators were lonely. At least internally, Turles felt lonely. Though he knew some of this world's developments, when facing characters who'd only existed in fantasy, Turles experienced a sense of dislocation.
Sometimes he couldn't help wondering—was he also just a character in someone else's story? This possibility made him feel fearful, afraid. Nobody wanted to be merely a fictional character, even if that character was the entire story's protagonist.
So Turles desperately improved his strength. Only each power increase brought him a trace of reality, also bringing security!
"Truly beautiful!"
Watching the slowly rotating Earth, Turles couldn't help praising aloud.
"Hm?"
Raditz looked at Turles with some confusion, not understanding why this planet would make Turles feel such emotion. Since seeing this planet, Raditz had felt Turles was somewhat off.
Raditz's puzzled gaze brought Turles back from recollection. He didn't explain anything, just ordering Karl's group to prepare landing.
Just as Turles's group appeared near Earth, on Earth's Lookout, Kami had already sensed powerful aura. He and Mr. Popo stood on the Lookout plaza, faces grave as they looked upward. Their gazes seemed to pierce through thick atmosphere, seeing unknown enemies arriving.
"Popo, do you sense it?"
Kami suddenly spoke, asking nearby Popo with heavy tone.
"Yes, Kami!" Popo's tone held no fluctuation. Even sensing this trembling aura hadn't changed his expression one bit.
"Sigh..."
Kami couldn't help sighing. Facing such enemies, even he had no confidence of victory. Even merging with Demon King Piccolo wouldn't help. He could only hope the arrivals were friends, not foes.
---
The ship slowly landed in a wilderness. Turles's group emerged from the vessel.
Stepping on ground again, Turles's group examined their surroundings.
Soon, Raditz's eyes flashed with contempt. He mockingly whispered: "Kakarot, that waste. After so long, he still hasn't dealt with this planet's natives. I just..."
"Raditz!"
Before Raditz finished, Turles directly interrupted him, staring with stern eyes, saying sternly: "Forgot what I told you? If you can't control yourself, I don't mind teaching you a lesson!"
"Uh!"
Hearing Turles's words, only then did Raditz remember the previous discussion about merit and sin. The slight dissatisfaction in his heart immediately vanished. He looked at Turles submissively without speaking.
Nearby Deru—though not knowing what Turles had told Raditz—heard from Turles's words that Turles truly differed from other Saiyans. This made Deru's just-furrowed brow relax again.
"Turles, shouldn't we find this planet's strongest and ask about the situation? After all, finding one person on such a large planet is quite difficult!"
Deru offered Turles a reasonable suggestion.
If other planets, Turles would have agreed with Deru's suggestion. But regarding Earth, Turles knew how to quickly find Goku.
Turles first gave Deru a strange look. Thinking of possibly upcoming scenes, Turles felt somewhat anticipatory.
Turles released his full sensing. Instantly, all life signatures on Earth appeared in his mind. Two aura intensities around 300+, plus several with 200+ battle power. Among them, one aura appeared at 10,000 meters altitude.
"Found you!" Turles said quietly.
Finishing, Turles took flight, directly flying toward one direction.
Seeing Turles depart, Raditz and Deru quickly followed.
After flying for over ten minutes, a sky-reaching stone tower appeared in the three's vision.
Seeing the appearing tower, aside from the anticipating Turles, both Raditz and Deru showed surprise.
A white stone tower rose from the ground. The tower body was only about three-person-wide thickness, yet stood straight on the ground. The tower body soared into clouds, the top invisible at a glance. By Earthling concepts, truly worthy of "divine miracle"!
Turles approached the tower, looking upward. Sure enough, he saw a massive hemisphere hovering in the sky—precisely the "Lookout" from his memories!
With the three's strength, naturally they wouldn't climb some Korin Tower. All three shot skyward directly, flying straight toward the Lookout.
Whoosh! Whoosh! Whoosh!
Three air-cutting sounds consecutively rang out. Turles's trio appeared in the Lookout's airspace.
The three landed on the Lookout platform, directly appearing before Kami.
Kami—who'd been observing the lower realm—hadn't expected these people's target to be directly himself. Moreover, one person looked remarkably similar to his younger self.
The other two had tails wrapped around their waists identical to Goku's. One even looked exactly like Goku, aside from somewhat darker skin.
"A Namekian?"
Deru saw Kami's appearance and exclaimed.
"Namekian? You mean me?" Kami recovered from surprise. Hearing Deru's words, he internally questioned.
Deru circled Kami examining him. Definitely a Namekian. But this planet wasn't Namek. How could a Namekian appear? Could it be...
Deru thought of a possibility, trembling as he asked: "Excuse me, elder—do you come from Planet Namek?"
Kami could already confirm he and this person who looked like him came from the same place. But he hadn't expected he was actually an alien.
"I'm sorry. I don't know if I come from Namek. If possible, could you tell me about Planet Namek?"
Kami could now confirm with high probability these people held no ill will toward Earth. Rich life experience let him quickly calm down, extending an invitation to Deru.
Deru looked back at Turles. Seeing him nod, he followed Kami aside, beginning to narrate stories about Planet Namek. Meanwhile, Turles's gaze fixed on the nearby Mr. Popo.
