Synopsis
Born under the Blood Moon—a rare and ominous eclipse—Prince Nozomi enters the world marked by a curse that stains his very existence. Disgusted by his father, despised by the imperial court, and quietly pitied by the servants, Nozomi grows up in a exile palace , seperate from the main palace. Only his mother dared to love him… and even she cannot protect him. To erase the shame of a “cursed heir,” the emperor adopts Rikuya, a flawless and ambitious boy, raising him as the future crown prince. But Rikuya carries a jealousy far more dangerous than the curse itself—because despite all his perfection, he can never win hearts the way Nozomi does simply by existing. Far from the palace, in the quiet mountains, lives Takao, a gentle healer who wants nothing more than a peaceful life. Unaware of royal politics or ancient prophecies, he has no reason to ever cross paths with the cursed prince. And yet… fate has other plans. An accident drags Takao into the palace shadows, where he knows and see Nozomi for the first time, while exploring the exile palace along with the main palace. A single glance. A single moment. A spark begun that was never meant to exist. Between a prince doomed by destiny and a healer who never sought greatness, an impossible bond begins to form—one that may either break the curse… or ignite a war within the royal family, that will ruin them both. A cursed prince. A healer caught in the middle. A love written nowhere… yet destined to bloom.

Chapter 1 - PROLOGUE

Around 1000 BC emerged a strong japanese dynasty. In the city of kuroshima, ruled the imperial king and queen. The queen was expecting a prince very soon. The kingdom was adorned in decorations to welcome the prince.

On the night of delivery, as soon as the queen let out a heart wrenching scream, mystically the moon turned RED – casting red glow on the imperial tiles, all the way to the newborn prince's face, as the queen collapsed exhausted, the servants and midwives whispered among themselves "the rare lunar eclipse, the prince's birth is a very bad omen." Whispers broke outside the palace, making the palace and kingdom believe the ancient superstition.

"The individual born under the crimson moon–ends the bloodline in sorrow"

The majesty burst in the delivery room, seeing the midwives in distress cleaning the child in silence while others fan the exhausted queen. His majesty's brows narrowed, as he couldn't believe how his prince, his own child was born 'cursed' that two by the most rare one. He rushed to the child. His peaceful face didn't do anything to extinguish the fire in the king's heart.

The king rushes to the queen. Her majesty was not ready to hear the distressing news yet, after flicking one last disgraceful look at the child he left.

Ordering the imperial guards to make arrangements to reopen the exile villa [kagegiri villa], meant for long term exile on royal abundance but it was the first time sending a newborn there and it can't be taken back since it is a custom and the king was disappointed too. The prince was looked after by the midwives only for the next few months, he was never allowed to be near his own very mother. Her majesty was a bit sad but still couldn't keep the prince.

It was a full moon night, the child only 5 months old, now was being carried to the kagegiri villa for exile, moreover abandonment. The prince was unknown of the unfairness happening to him. The majesty took the prince in his arms wrapped in red imperial silk, standing near the podium just before the entrance, announcing –

"I, name this child akagawa nozomi, relating the curse of the crimson moon, and dedicate this exile on his name till his last breath, he is the ruler of this part of the kingdom, adorned with his curse."

The subjects of that part sighed and groaned, a few whispering "we will be ruled by a cursed prince ... What a disgrace!" But despite the hate, little nozomi slept soundily unaware of the tangly roots now connected to his life.

Leaving him alone with some royal guards and few maids to teach him ethics till he is a grown man – they moved out returning back to 'tsukiyumi palace', leaving their only child in exile. His majesty had no regrets he was willing to find another heir to the throne.

Her majesty had a sister, who was diagnosed with a chronic disease. She had a child too, saionji rikuya. On her sister's demise. Out of mercy, the queen adopted the child. But, the majesty trusted his wife's sister's son as his heir, making rikuya, nozomi's stepbrother. From childhood, while nozomi grew in abundance, rikuya got his lost parents' love and all the respect nozomi was supposed to get. Absence of family, love and respect killed him inside, long back . The guards and teachers appointed for nozomi were just to guide him to be an eligible ruler , that's it. Nozomi was a fast learner, and emotionally closed off, his only dream was to end this misunderstanding and to live together as one...with his so-called family.

His life story is the summesion of our struggles and hardships combined together. The struggles we face in the modern world, and still we cry and feel worthless, imagine what nozomi felt in darkness, coldness and solitude. Though, his spiritual hopes were really high. He was a devotee of gods and heavens and thus he was a very considerate ruler of the village he was assigned to rule. Though his subjects didn't like him but always felt gratefulfor nozomi's right use of wit and will power.

Rikuya with all the love and respect was still jealous of nozomi and always looked down on him, maybe fearing nozomi could please anyone instantly.

The current storyline will start when nozomi has just turned 18, alone in his exile palace. Just another usual night in his villa ...
