Kaien-reki Sea Calendar Year: 1483

Norwell D. Denji was born in a village in the North Blue known as Glacestia, a settlement built along frozen cliffs and known for its hardy fishermen and ice-harvesters. Snow drifted softly outside as the newborn took his first breath.

A woman's gentle voice broke the silence.

"Honey, he's so beautiful. He definitely has my looks and not yours."

Her husband scoffed lightly.

"What are you talking about honey? This is boy a Norwell through and through. He definitely looks like his father."

An older woman standing beside them let out a soft laugh.

"I think he has a bit of both of you, Kushina-chan's eyes and Renji-kun's nose."

The woman, named Kushina smiled gratefully.

"Thank you, Granny Chiyo. I had a successful delivery. And it's all thanks because of you."

The old lady, named Granny Chiyo waved the gratitude away with a chuckle.

"What are you talking about Kushina? It's only natural for me to deliver your baby."

Then she added warmly, "Kushina, Renji… congratulations on your handsome child."

Kushina wiped tears from her eyes.

"I'm so happy right now, I could cry… well I'm already crying anyway."

Granny Chiyo turned toward the new father and scolded.

"Renji-kun, now you better end your days of piracy. You have a family to look after. You cannot leave your family to go play pirate"

Renji laughed.

"What are you talking about, Granny Chiyo? As soon as my boy turns three, I'm setting sail to sea with him."

"Don't you dare think of turning my little angel into a pirate, honey!" Kushina snapped, puffing her cheeks.

"What!? Of course not, I wouldn't dare!" Renji stammered in fear.

Granny Chiyo chuckled again.

"What a lovely family."

Meanwhile, the newborn baby was internally panicking.

Where the hell am I?

He had just been hit by a truck and now he'd woken up being pushed out of someone's private parts. Strange people were talking around him about pirates. Pirates? What the hell are they talking about?

In his previous life, he had been a delinquent, the second-in-command of a feared high school gang named Tonpa. He had expected to die in a brawl, in glory, not under the grille of a truck. What kind of plot is this? If he was going to die, he deserved something cooler.

One thing was clear: he had been isekai'd.

His parents here were named Kushina and Renji. And this world had pirates. He remembered an anime he once watched. One Piece and felt his lips twitch.

No way… there's no way, right? Getting reborn into anime, novels, manga etc… that's just fictional right?

For now, he decided he needed to focus on growing up, getting strong, and gathering information.

Denji was now eight years old.

Of course, a pirate's blood never ran cold. When Denji was four, Renji's old crewmates had returned to recruit him. Renji was torn at first, but Kushina, seeing his hesitancy smiled bravely and told him to follow his dreams and visit often.

He never returned. That deadbeat.

Of course Denji couldn't be sure if he was alive or dead. The Pirate world was brutal.

But this year, Denji earned the nickname "Conqueror of the North Blue."

How did he name such a ridiculous nickname you ask? Well a group of pirates came to invade the village.

Denji got roped into it and his mother tried to protect him, shielding him with her body. When the invaders threatened to kill her, pressing a gun to her head, Denji's emotions exploded, and he unconsciously released a wave of what he later understood to be Conqueror's Haki.

From the time Denji was one year old, he already had suspicions that he had been reborn in the world of One Piece. He had been born in the North Blue, and he carried the infamous "D." in his name. How troublesome. But the final proof came when he knocked people out with nothing but his willpower.

That incident confirmed everything.

Kushina was ecstatic at the revelation. She had no idea what he had actually done, but she was happy nonetheless. Mothers, am I right?

After that day, the captain of the invading pirate crew spread the word that a Conqueror resided in Glacestia Village. Because of that, Denji earned the nickname Conqueror of the North Blue. To be honest, the nickname embarrassed him. He had no control over this Haki, and it had never surfaced again after that day.

As for how he found out about his nickname despite being stuck in the village, well, that was because a young Admiral Kuzan came to visit. Kuzan had heard the rumors and had traveled to Glacestia to see for himself. At that time, he was still stationed in the North Blue, and he attempted to recruit Denji into the Marines.

But Kushina immediately protested, insisting that Denji was far too young to make such a life-changing decision. Kuzan eventually left, though reluctantly. Before departing, he told Denji that he wished the boy could use his Conqueror's spirit to help fight piracy. He mentioned something about Roger turning the seas upside down or something along those lines.

Denji hadn't really been paying attention.

The years passed, and Denji was now seventeen. The Great Pirate Era had begun exactly 2 yeatz ago after Roger's execution. Denj was currently at the peak sea section, fishing as he usually did. His clothing was anything but suited for cold weather.

He had messy, medium-length blond hair and sharp, confident eyes. He wore a black military-style coat that flowed behind him, left open to reveal his bandaged torso. Loose black pants were held up by a belt, and he wore light-colored combat boots with straps. Overall, he looked cool, stylish, and effortlessly tough.

This was the look he sported back when he was second in command of the Tonpa gang.

And next to him was the most annoying woman ever. A women know to a lot of One Piece readers. The adoptive mother of Cat Burgler Nami, Bellé-mer

Meanwhile, somewhere out at sea, a medium-sized boat drifted across the waters. Two people occupied it.

One of the men spoke.

"Shanks, are you sure we're going to find this Conqueror here? What if it's just a rumor?"

The young man with red hair and claw marks over his right eye smiled.

"I'm sure, Benn. My gut has never failed me."

Those two men were the future Emperor of the Sea, Figarland Shanks, and his first mate, Benn Beckman.
