Chapter 5 - Chapter—004—Douluo Wants to Smash the Shop

Hearing Chrysanthemum Douluo's question, the three nodded repeatedly, and Yan even patted his chest, guaranteeing, "Elder Ju, we swear on our Spirits—we haven't exaggerated a single word!"

Chrysanthemum Douluo saw that the three didn't seem to be lying, but instead of believing them, his heart grew heavier.

Because by this point, he had already confirmed one thing:

These three little brats must have been caught in an illusion.

Otherwise, how could they say something so absurd?

Leveling up by eating a meal and drawing a prize?

If that were true, then Titled Douluo like him shouldn't bother training. They should just report to restaurants every day!

More importantly, Hu Liena was Bibi Dong's personal disciple, and Yan and Xie Yue were also highly valued geniuses of Spirit Hall.

To be fooled by such a crude trick was basically a slap in Spirit Hall's face.

"Hmph!"

Chrysanthemum Douluo snorted coldly, his orchid-like finger brushing his cheek. His enchanting face carried a chilling hint of coldness.

"Daring to play tricks inside Spirit City, and even daring to deceive people of my Spirit Hall—truly tired of living!"

He decided to personally visit this so-called "Divine Chef." Flicking his sleeve, he said, "I'd like to see just who this 'divine being' thinks he is, daring to play games in Spirit City."

Although Hu Liena and the others hadn't suffered any real harm, in Yue Guan's eyes, this was still a provocation against Spirit Hall.

As a Spirit Hall Elder, he naturally had to teach the other party a lesson!

With that, Chrysanthemum Douluo left the courtyard first. His movement was graceful like a drifting petal, but the killing intent emanating from him made one's scalp go numb.

Left behind in the courtyard, the three young ones looked at each other in dismay.

Although their intention was indeed to have Chrysanthemum Douluo go to the restaurant, they absolutely did not want him to go with such a confrontational attitude.

Hu Liena looked at Elder Ju's silhouette—he looked like he was going to smash the shop—and her scalp tingled.

She originally wanted the Elder to verify their words and let Spirit Hall's higher-ups know about this incredible opportunity, but now it seemed Elder Ju was going for revenge.

"It's over, it's over—Elder Ju is going to smash the place!" Yan clutched his hair with both hands, on the verge of crying.

"That senior's strength is probably at least Titled Douluo level. If Elder Ju goes in like this, he won't gain any advantage…" Xie Yue said anxiously.

Of course, the possibility of Chrysanthemum Douluo getting beaten was a minor concern.

More importantly—what if they angered that mysterious senior?

How would they eat in the future?

How would they level up in the future?!

Hu Liena's face paled. "We need to catch up—hurry! We must explain everything before Elder Ju makes a move!"

The three immediately rushed out, praying desperately that nothing went wrong.

As a Titled Douluo, Chrysanthemum Douluo's speed was naturally terrifying.

However, the commercial street was some distance away from Spirit Hall, and Hu Liena's group had already delayed quite a bit.

Thus, by the time Chrysanthemum Douluo arrived at the commercial street, the sky was already dark.

Walking with his hands behind his back, he slowly approached the end of the street Hu Liena mentioned, as if he were casually strolling.

But as he walked, Chrysanthemum Douluo suddenly stopped, his brows lightly furrowed.

With his heightened senses as a Titled Douluo, he had detected an exceptionally alluring fragrance.

This fragrance wasn't ordinary—it seemed to stimulate the depths of one's soul, making one uncontrollably want to find its source.

"What is this smell?" Yue Guan stroked his chin, his orchid finger rising slightly, a hint of surprise flashing in his eyes.

With his knowledge, he had tasted countless delicacies, yet he had never encountered such a unique aroma.

Could those three little ones actually be telling the truth?

Was there really such a magical restaurant?

No—this seemed more like an illusion technique!

Yue Guan quickly made his judgment, and his expression hardened.

An illusion capable of influencing a Titled Douluo's senses… the caster must indeed have some ability.

"You certainly know how to put on a show," Yue Guan sneered, quickening his steps toward the source of the fragrance.

Soon, he saw the quaint little shop.

Under the moonlight, the three characters "Feng Ran Pavilion" appeared especially striking.

Chrysanthemum Douluo stood before the shop, examined it for a moment, then slowly raised one foot, preparing to kick the door open.

As a Titled Douluo, he had enough confidence and strength to deal with anything unexpected.

However—

Just as he exerted force, a desperate, soul-tearing scream came from behind:

"STOP THE DOOR!!"

Yan's voice echoed through the empty street, filled with unprecedented urgency and fear.

He knew that if Chrysanthemum Douluo kicked the door open, the consequences would be unimaginable!

At the very least, they—who brought him here—would definitely never be able to eat here again!

The next second, Yan launched himself like a hungry dog pouncing on… well, something unpleasant—flying horizontally.

Bang!

Yan crashed solidly into Chrysanthemum Douluo's leg, blocking the kick with his own body.

Fortunately, Chrysanthemum Douluo managed to retract eighty percent of his strength in time—otherwise Yan would have been incapacitated on the spot.

But even so, the impact made Yan feel like his organs were being tossed around.

"Ugh…" Yan clutched his stomach, his face turning deathly pale. He nearly vomited up all the noodles he'd eaten earlier.

"What are you doing, you brat?!"

Chrysanthemum Douluo was confused by this sudden "attack." He pinched his orchid finger and glared at Yan, annoyed.

Soon after, Xie Yue and Hu Liena arrived.

Xie Yue ignored the twitching Yan on the ground and instead threw himself in front of Chrysanthemum Douluo, preventing him from kicking the door again.

His chest rose and fell violently, large beads of sweat rolling down his face. He was clearly exhausted.

But he didn't have time to wipe the sweat. Struggling to catch his breath, he burst out:

"Elder Ju… you… you absolutely cannot barge in like this! If you anger that senior… it will be the greatest loss Spirit Hall has ever suffered!"

Hu Liena staggered up as well, her hands braced on her knees, her pale face drenched in sweat.

She opened her mouth, but only gasped for air. After a long moment, she finally managed to squeeze out:

"Grandpa Ju… you… you really can't be impulsive…"

As a mental-type Spirit Master, Hu Liena's physique was naturally the weakest among the three.

Running all the way from the shop back to Spirit Hall, then sprinting back again without rest to stop Chrysanthemum Douluo, had nearly exhausted her to death.

If not for maintaining a shred of dignity as a beauty, she'd probably be lying on the ground like a dead dog.

The most miserable one was Yan.

Curled up on the ground, face alternating between green and white, he was twitching in pain.

He clearly had the best stamina, yet he was the first to arrive… and he was also the one who received a direct kick.

Now he could only roll his eyes like a dead fish.

Chrysanthemum Douluo looked at the three in their sorry state, his willow-like brows furrowing slightly.

What in the world were these brats doing?

They looked more terrified than if they had seen the King of Hell himself.

"Are you three out of your minds?"

Chrysanthemum Douluo tapped his temple with his finger, tone filled with impatience.

"Even if that person truly has some ability, in Spirit City, what kind of waves could he possibly stir up?"
