Chapter Thirty:Nadir
Angel lay stiff on the bed, her back pressed into the pillows, her eyes fixed on the ceiling as if looking anywhere else might make him real again.
The room was too neat. Too soft. Too pink, it felt like the room of a Barbie princess, the type Mara would like for a day or two, and then say to change it, it felt so cringe for a woman her age, most men would assume that women's favourite colour is pink, so they'd obviously like a room decorated in pink, but not all women likes pink, yes women may not hate pink, and will like to have clothes and accessories that colour, but not to be clothed from head to toe on pink.
Iso right now this felt staged. Like a lie dressed up to look comforting.
She could feel him beside her without looking. Too close. Close enough that she could smell him now. Clean. Sharp. Not like a homeless man. Not like someone rough.
That scared her more.
