Chapter 1 - Plane Crash

Inside the airplane, three beautiful women sat in the same row, chatting casually.

"It's been so long since we've had a proper break. This time, I'm going to enjoy myself to the fullest."

The woman in the blue qipao looked as delicate as snow. Her features were exquisitely shaped, her long black hair cascading over her shoulders like a waterfall. Her eyes were deep and bright, outlining a pair of breathtakingly alluring pupils—mesmerizing enough to steal the breath right out of one's chest.

Her figure was graceful and well-defined, with soft curves and an elegant posture. Her name was Yoo Rumi, a physician skilled in both traditional medicine and modern Western medicine. Her grandfather was an expert in Western general medicine, while her father specialized in traditional Chinese medicine.

Her father, ever rebellious against his own father, refused to study Western medicine and instead devoted himself to traditional practice. As the family's only daughter, Rumi became the focus of both men's ambitions—her grandfather insisting she study Western medicine, her father insisting on traditional medicine. In the end, the two finally compromised: she would learn both.

Since childhood, Yoo Rumi had followed both her grandfather and father in studying pharmacology, medicine preparation, diagnosis, and acupuncture.

At a young age, her medical skills had already surpassed many seasoned practitioners, earning her the title of Divine Physician Yoo.

"If I could meet a handsome guy on this trip, that would be perfect," she said with a grin.

The woman wore a light green qipao. Beneath her delicately arched brows rested a pair of bright, clear eyes—sparkling like a sky full of stars.

Her fair, flawless skin carried a faint rosy glow. Her small lips were naturally tinted, soft and dewy without the need for makeup. With a delicate oval face and dimples that appeared faintly whenever she smiled, she was breathtakingly charming.

She was Ra Yunfang. Both of her parents worked for the nation, and she was no exception—growing up surrounded by their work, she naturally absorbed their knowledge. Over the years, she achieved remarkable skill in weapon development.

"I agree. I want that too! I refuse to be dragged into some family-arranged marriage. My future is mine to decide."

Her beauty was striking—her face small and delicate, her features soft and flawless.

Her eyes were as clear and luminous as lake water, as if they could hold the entire starry sky within them.

Beneath her seaweed-soft waves of voluminous curls was a full, shapely chest, a slender waist that fit perfectly in one hand, and long pale legs—each curve bold and intoxicating. A single glance at her was enough to send anyone's heartbeat racing.

She was Heo Yahan, the treasured daughter o f a wealthy family. Her father was one of the richest men in the region, and from a young age she followed him in the business world, learning negotiation and the art of making a deal.

The three of them had grown up together since childhood. All three were only daughters, pampered and privileged in their own families. This trip was something they planned together because all of them were being pressured to get married. Feeling helpless, they decided to escape on a vacation—to have fun, relax, and breathe a little.

"Rumi, what kind of man do you like?" Ra Yunfang asked.

The three were still single to this day. Since childhood, they had been pushed to study one skill after another, leaving them with no time for romance. Truly, they were comrades in the same predicament.

Their fathers had been sworn brothers for a generation, each working in different fields, which was why the three women had known one another since they were young.

"I like good-looking men who have a sense of dedication," Yoo Rumi replied.

Perhaps it came from the compassion at the heart of every healer—her ideal partner had to share that same kindness and empathy, not be the cold, unyielding, stone-hearted type.

"What about you, Yahan?" Ra Yunfang turned her head and asked again.

"Me? I like men with overwhelming power—preferably someone richer and more influential than my dad. Someone who can suppress his arrogant temper. And of course… he has to be good-looking."

Heo Yahan's father was one of the wealthiest men in the region, famous for throwing money and authority around to get what he wanted. Yahan had inherited that trait completely—if anything, she was even more overbearing than her father.

Her father always said, 'Any problem that can be solved with money is not a problem.'

Yahan had taken that philosophy to heart and used it even better than he ever did.

"What about you? What kind of man do you like?" Heo Yahan asked in return.

Ra Yunfang answered without even thinking, "I like soldiers who serve the nation and the people. Handsome soldiers, of course."

There it was—every single one of them cared about looks. Appearance was clearly the top priority. No wonder they became best friends; like attracted like. A trio of unabashed appearance-lovers indeed.

"When am I ever going to meet my destined one?" Heo Yahan muttered in frustration.

She wasn't unattractive—far from it. She was beautiful, came from a good family, and yet somehow still didn't have a boyfriend.

It didn't make sense. There was only one explanation: her father must have been sabotaging her from the shadows. With her looks, there was no way she would have zero admirers unless someone cut them off.

Unbelievable. Absolutely unbelievable. Just to force her into an arranged marriage, he had actually blocked every potential romance around her.

When she returned from this trip, she was definitely going to confront him properly. She truly couldn't understand his thinking. He was already one of the richest men in the region, yet he was still willing to sacrifice her for a marriage alliance. Dream on. She was not her mother—who had given up the man she loved for the sake of the family.

Yes—her mother had never loved her father. She had only married him because the family forced her into the arrangement, and eventually she gave birth to Yahan. Her father had his "white moonlight," and her mother had her own "scarlet mark"—the person she could never forget. There was no love between the two, yet they remained loyal to the marriage, treating each other with distant respect.

"Who knows? Maybe this trip will bring us some unexpected surprises," Ra Yunfang said with a hint of anticipation.

"Hopefully," Yoo Rumi murmured, closing her eyes to rest.

Suddenly, the plane jolted violently.

"Ah!"

"Ah!"

"Ahhh!"

"What's happening? Why is it shaking so much all of a sudden?"

"Is… is it an accident?"

"No! I don't want to die!"

"How could this happen? This is my first time on a plane and something like this happens? If I survive this, I'm never getting on a plane again!"

"Let's hold hands. That way we won't be as scared. If we live, we live together. If we die, we die together."

Heo Yahan spoke calmly. She was someone who had weathered countless storms. At a moment when everyone else panicked, she grew even steadier.

No wonder—she had grown up fighting alongside her father in the business world. Her presence was on a whole different level.

"Alright. If we live, we live together. If we die, we die together."

"Live and die as one."

The three of them held each other's hands tightly, hearts linked as one.

"Ah…!"

A swirling black hole opened and swallowed all three of them whole.
