Amaira's POV
Yesterday's day was hectic!
I travelled to another city to meet my long lost university friend, Percy. Well, yeah he was abroad for many years to complete his further studies and look after his father's inheritance. And now he is back in India for a month, so when he messaged me that he wants to meet me, at that moment I gave myself a thought I would probably crush his head first for not remembering me until now.
He said he wanted to visit Mom and dad and brother too so I decided to travel to another city where he is living in his aunt's mansion.
And now he came with me to stay for few days with me.
It's morning and I nearly overslept today because yesterday was really tiring like travelling out of the city and returning back with your idiot bitch friend!
Today he requested me to show him my office. Ofcourse he is on a tour now! Fucking foreigners!
"Hey are you ready Amu?" He shouted from outside my room. I quickly put on the lip gloss and hanged my bag on the shoulders. Giving myself a quick check in the mirror to confirm I look good.
Today I wore an black high waist trousers with a peach colour shirt tucked in and my hair styled into a pony tail. I looked ethical! Once I was confirm I was okay, I slipped into my high black heels and went downstairs.
Percy was waiting for me. He was smiling childishly. He is little childish and acts like one and I wonder how is he managing his inheritance back there.
"Let's go beauty!" He dragged me outside.
We slipped into the car and I drove off to my office. Percy kept bantering me with his antics. To be honest he is so similar to Rhea, childish, overexcited and totally a true person. I enjoyed his company much when we were in the university. What happens when Rhea get to know that he is here. Well, then it's like two rivals have been crossed paths!
I remember once introducing Percy to Rhea and their meeting was not so good. So from then I decided to keep them away next time. They both share same personality but when they meet in person they totally become rivals.
It's like same-same repels!
We arrived at the big Malhotra tower.
Everyone bowed to us as we entered. And here Percy clung to me like a koala. His hand tangled in my arms.
As we reach the floor to my office. Dad appeared from the back. He left the house earlier and I almost slept till afternoon so I haven't seen him since morning or to be straight he haven't seen me since morning.
"Hey Percy! How are you dear?" Dad asked him.
"I am fine Uncle, just came to see Amaira before I leave!" He replied with a huge smile showing all his teeth.
"By the way, how are you Uncle? Looks like you have been in a long meeting"
"Oh yes! "
"And Amaira princess, let Percy enjoy his leave from his father for now and give him a full tour of our company till then!"
"Dad in what meeting were you, according to your schedule there's no meeting fixed today?" I asked confused. I looked back yesterday dad's schedule but there was no meeting fixed with anyone.
"Actually, as Mr. Singhania wanted to start a new project with you when you will join the Bombay branch so he was here to discuss with you but you weren't there so I was just having a little discussion with him regarding new projects and all though I was free for now."
"Mr Singhania?" I asked dad again. Wait he is here now! Shit!
As I heard his name flashbacks starts to engulf me. Everything that happened two days ago started to comeback, the confession, the kiss everything. God! I wasn't able to think from the last two days and just now Percy diverted my mind, he is here again to take control over my brain.
I can't stop thinking about his confession. I smiled back at him because somehow his words convinced me that he wasn't the one who send me those burned flowers. I trusted him because he's statement was reasonable. He might had taken advantage of me earlier but he didn't. Then who is this motherfucker!
Oh God! He even said that he would kill that bastard!
Why is he concerned so much about me. Is it love?
Why he's confession made my heart melt. At that moment it looked like his eyes spoke the truth. I stayed silent because I didn't know what to respond at his words. It all felt so good and real. It felt like I wanted to hear the same from him everytime!
Is it really love?
"Hey, Amaira where are you lost?" Percy snapped me out of my thoughts.
"Uhh.. nothing let's go to my cabin"I excused.
Just then we were in the corridor, my eyes met that one figure I wished to acoid for the rest of my lif I think. But it wasn't possible I guess. Looks like God also wants me around him. Why do he need to show up everytime in my office?
I tried to avert my gaze and hide my face so that he doesn't see me. But I am so unfortunate at this moment I can't even tell!
His eyes met mine and stopped in my travks so does he. My face went pale. Again all the scenes kept flashing into my mind. But at the same time, I cam see him checking me from head to toe but then his gaze stopped at my arms which was tangled with Percy.
"Hey, why did you stopped babe!" Percy said looking back at me.
I literally now thought that I should surely bang my head against a wall. Because of the situation I am in now!
Rudraksh started coming closer to me, his eyes never leaving my arm. As he stood infront of us, I jerked off my arm from Percy's.
"What's wrong darling?"
Oh God! Percy just stop for a minute idiot!
"Shut up Percy"I scolded him.
"Mr. Singhania, you are here."I asked him maintaining my demeanor.
"Maybe we should talk Ms. Amaira!" He said firmly. Hell why did he became so serious all of a sudden.
"Maybe a while later, Mr. Singhania. I am here with my bestfriend today" Percy interrupted.
Rudraksh raised his one eyebrow. Why does it looks like he is burning terribly. I can see his clenched jaw and his hands in his pockets which are already fisted.
"Bestfriend?" He mocked and chuckled.
But before I could reason something. Percy dragged me from there grabbing my arm.
"Uhh are you mad or what Percy, what will he think" I scilded him.
We entered my cabin.
"What do you mean by 'what he will think'? Is he your boyfriend?" Percy said raising his eyebrows in curiousity and mischief.
"Uhh... Ye... No no no he is nothing just a business partner" I stutterted while answering.
"But it doesn't looks like! I saw how he was burning up when we both were together. And first of all why you are stuttering? Did he made your breath hitched for a second? Did your heart skipped a beat when you saw his face? Is your mind filled with his thoughts or are you craving to hear his sexy voice?"
"Ahh! Shut up Percy. There's... Not.. hing"
"Then why are you so nervous and
stuttering?"
"Enough stop!"
But before I could say something he came closer to me and started to tickle me. I couldn't control myself and burst out laughing on the floor.
"Lie again and I shall tickle you until you die."
"Sto..p st..op Percy!" I laughed wildy. I was laughing so loudly with him that my stomach started paining. A drop of tear crossed my cheeks. But I couldn't stop him, I threw my hands and legs to stop him but all in vain.
Just the door of my cabin opened and the devil stood at the door. My voice got stuck in my throat. Percy stopped tickling me as he saw him. But then I realised in what position I and Percy were. He howered above me while I was all to the the ground under him!
Percy quickly moved away and we both stood straight.
God! Now what else is left to make me more embarassed infront of me. He strode towards us with big steps and before I could say something.
He punched Percy so hard in his eye!
