Chapter 1 - Chapter 1: Vampire Monarch

~SWOOSH — SWOOSH~

Cool winds swept across the desert. The sky was clear, moonlight illuminating one side of the world.

"Pthuu—ahh…"On one side of the dunes, a man stood dusting off his strange attire. His eyes were blood-red, and his hair was as white as snow.

"Ughh…"He rubbed his lips with the corner of his sleeve. Fumbling with his red robe, he tried to shake out the dirt that had slipped inside during his emergence.

In front of him yawned a perfectly circular hole, the one he had just crawled out of.

"Grr… Who made this portal beneath the sand? I swear, I'll beat his ass when I go back." He yelled in anger.

Damian wanted to curse the entire generation of subordinates responsible for this mess.

"Hmm."After fixing his appearance, he glanced around—his eye twitching at the sight of nothing but endless desert.

'Wasn't this planet supposed to be populated? Did the intel get it wrong?'

Raising his hand, he flicked his finger. A red glow pulsed across his skin as strange rune-like symbols formed in the air beside him.

In an instant, his body vanished from the sea of sand and reappeared in a dim, empty alley.

"Finally, some puny beings."He muttered under his breath, rubbing his chin as his gaze landed on the humans passing by the alley entrance.

'What should I do in this world now?'He was just thinking of ways to reduce his boredom when he was disturbed.

"Hey…"A groggy voice sounded behind him. Damian turned to see a drunk man perched atop an overflowing dumpster, chugging from a bottle.

'Who is this jester?'

"What?"Damian leaned against the wall, arms crossed, watching the man clumsily try to climb down.

"Ahem."Once the drunk finally stumbled to the ground, he approached and raised his hand—confusing Damian even more.

Seeing the puzzled look in his eyes, the drunk rubbed his thumb against his fingers.

Damian's confusion only deepened.

'Does he want something?'

"Give me money… and I'll give you the greatest treasure I own," the man slurred, hiccupping mid-sentence.

"I don't have any money, puny human."He had just arrived in this world—how could he have this 'money' thing?

"If you don't have any money…"The drunk leaned closer, breath heavy with alcohol."Then you're also puny. Hahaha!"

'How dare… does he want to be my dinner?'

Watching the man burst into laughter ignited Damian's irritation.

"GGGRRR…"Damian bared his fangs, jaw opening wide to intimidate him.

"Eh?"The man froze mid-laugh, eyes widening as he finally noticed Damian's sharp teeth—which pleased Damian for a brief moment.

But instead of fear, disappointment filled the drunkard's face.

"Another teenager ruining his teeth with fake fangs… tch. Kids these days."

'Fake.....Thi...' He closed his eyes and took a deep breath, trying to calm his nerves.

'Calm down, Damian… You promised yourself you're here to enjoy, not destroy another world.'

"Hey, wait. I'm a very big-hearted person. Here, take this."Damian, who was about to leave, stopped as the drunk shoved a book into his hands.

The title caught his eye: "The Extra Path to Extraordinary."

'So this is the entertainment this world offers?'He accepted it out of curiosity and began walking away. Why would he not, since his only mission in coming here was to have fun?

"Haha, I already read that. Otherwise, I wouldn't give it to a broke, fake-fang teenager," the man whispered.

Unfortunately for him, Damian heard every word.

Expressionless, Damian turned back into the alley. After a short moment, he reemerged holding a glass filled with red liquid, sipping it calmly.

With a thought, he vanished, reappearing atop a tall building. Sitting on the edge with his legs dangling freely, he opened the book and began reading.

It described the MC's first life—betrayed, jobless, drunk in an alley.

"Tch. Seriously… does that dead man even know how to keep a book?"He frowned as he noticed the second page was missing.

The third page jumped straight from the MC's normal life to him waking up confused after being transmigrated into a third-rate villain, not even knowing how he had died.

Time passed as Damian continued reading, and after a few hours, he finally set the book down.

"It's good. I'll read it later…"The book vanished from his hand, and he looked down at the pedestrians below, the roads filled with vehicles.

'Should I take this world back…? There are many things worth enjoying here.'

After thinking for a while, he pushed the thought aside, and he appeared on Mid Street, searching for something new to do.

In his million years of life, he had already experienced all things his world had to offer, so he had to come to this world again.

Beep.

"Hey! Back off the road, are you nuts?"

He turned toward the voice, spotting a man sticking his head out of a car window, shouting at him.

Damian blinked, not even understanding the slang being thrown at him.

Suddenly, the driver's eyes widened as he waved frantically.

"Hey! Get away from the road if you don't want to die!"

BEEEEEEEEP!

The man squeezed his eyes shut as a massive truck slammed into the "role-player."

Eh?

Opening his eyes, he was stunned.

Damian was still standing exactly where he had been—completely unharmed.

And the truck… was unrecognizable.

'Pathetic. This attack isn't even comparable to the weakest soldier in my army.'

Damian's lips curled into a disdainful smirk. One of his hands was pressed against the crushed head of the mangled truck. The concrete beneath his feet was cracked, forming two small craters.

BEEEEEP.

Damian's fist tightened in irritation as another horn blared behind him.

Before he could react, two more trucks slammed straight into him, dust scattered, and metal pieces flew, the smell of diesel spread near that area.

'Ughhh… what was that…'

His thoughts drifted as he stared up at the sky. His body was full of holes, gaping, bloody wounds, and strangely, injuries that should have healed in milliseconds weren't healing at all.

'What kind of magic is this....even continental-level magic can't harm me.' His vision started turning black.

A/N { Add the novel to your library...yeah, that's it.}

Peace out.
