Chapter 300: Volume-3 Chapter-2!
"Lin Feng!" Mao Lang's panicked voice shouted in Lin Feng's ears. "You are being surrounded by cultivators, and they... are strong!"
Lin Feng, who was busy focusing on healing, was jolted awake by the sudden shout of Mao Lang.
He looked around before sensing multiple powerful presences surrounding him.
"W-What's going on?" He was bewildered. "Who are they, and why are they here?"
He didn't think someone would dare to come after him after the show of strength he had put on when attacking the Eastern Sovereign Hall.
He had taken on multiple emperor realm cultivators at the same time and even defeated them.
Moreover, by shattering a grade-6 defensive formation, he was sure of deterring any cultivators who would be foolish enough to target him.
However, it appeared that his thinking was flawed.
Not even a month had passed, and cultivators had already come to target him.
Just what wrong had he committed?
He just wanted to rescue his lover from being forced to marry against her will.
Was it so wrong?
He gritted his teeth and stood up.
"Be careful." Mao Lang warned. "Try to talk first instead of fighting them."
Even Mao Lang didn't feel good after sensing the powerful presences that had surrounded the island.
If this could be solved through talking, that would be for the best.
Lin Feng took out his robes from his space ring before walking out of the cave with his crimson demonic mask.
His long white hair moved sideways as he walked, his presence oozing out the pressure of an emperor realm cultivator.
"Let's see what's going on." He mumbled before his feet left the ground as he floated out of the cave.
As soon as his figure was revealed and sunlight fell on him, a voice shouted almost as if giving a command:
"He's here! Attack! Don't give him a chance to run!"
He knew that the voice came from his right and that too from a faraway distance.
However, he didn't have the luxury to turn his gaze to see who the voice belonged to, as a barrage of attacks from all four directions came towards him.
His eyes widened in surprise; however, he had gone through many surprise attacks.
Thus, he knew how to react.
Taking out the array flag immediately, he activated its defensive array.
This action didn't even take him a second as the array manifested around him.
The variety of attacks struck the array, only managing to develop cracks on it.
However, in the process, Lin Feng was able to see the type of attacks that had come his way.
One was a Blood Path attack, another was a Sword Path, the third belonged to the Strength Path, and the last belonged to a beast of the Emperor realm.
"As expected, even simultaneous attacks from four intermediate-stage emperor realm cultivators aren't enough to kill you." He heard a voice from his left as he turned to look at the individual.
He looked like a middle-aged man with a full goatee beard and long black hair. His maroon eyes shone with a murderous gleam. A bloody hue emanated out of his body, forming a layer around his clothes.
He again opened his mouth and commented, "Truly a monster! As I had heard."
Lin Feng frowned upon hearing that.
He didn't even know the guy, and meeting like this wasn't pleasing.
"Who are you, and why are you attacking me?" Lin Feng asked coldly.
Since his opponents had already attacked him, settling this with conversation was already out of the question; however, he would still like to know the identity of his enemies and the reason for their sudden attack.
"Who? Me?" The man asked, pointing to himself.
And suddenly a mocking grin appeared on his face: "I'm the father of the daughter whose only hope of living you stole, bastard!"
"Now, die!"
He flicked his finger as a massive rain of blood began pouring from the sky just where Lin Feng floated.
The rain of blood struck the wall of the array and slid down without doing any visible damage; however, soon, Lin Feng noticed the small holes that had begun to occur on the wall of his array.
"W-what did you do? What was that attack?" Lin Feng asked with wide eyes as he sent his qi into the array flag to restore the wall of the array.
The Blood Demon Lord, Wang Ren, laughed: "Hahaha, Fiend! Today you will die for the wrongdoings you have committed!"
Saying that, he launched another attack!
Lin Feng, staying inside the defensive array, was stunned upon hearing his words.
Fiend? Wrongdoings?
Just what is he on about?
I don't even know him!
He was screaming in his heart; however, on the exterior, he was constantly focusing on the array flag to maintain his defensive array.
At this moment, another emperor realm cultivator flew closer.
Lin Feng noticed him and was stunned to see the murderous look in his eyes. It was as if Lin Feng had killed his one and only son.
However, unbeknownst to Lin Feng, he had actually done just that.
This cultivator was the Tian Jian Tribe's patriarch, whose son had died by the hands of Lei Tian Hao when he had come to steal the treasure in the Forest of Beasts.
"Die! Bastard!" He yelled as he sent a sword attack in his direction.
The attack struck the array wall and made it develop cracks.
It was impressive of the flag to make an array that could defend against full-powered strikes from emperor realm cultivators; however, to Lin Feng, it was more impressive of Blood Demon Lord and the Tian Jian Tribe's patriarch to be able to damage the array.
This wasn't a normal flag; it was a top-tier treasure that wasn't even supposed to exist.
It was already at the limit of the grade an artifact could have.
Lin Feng had tried to increase its grade not a long time ago, and a heavenly tribulation was triggered.
It meant that if this flag were to become any more powerful, the world would send a tribulation to destroy it.
And to manage to destroy an array developed by a treasure of that grade was nothing short of ridiculous.
