(Chapter unfolds:30 "Ray the Zek ")
The swords of Izuma and Sai were vibrating violently in their hands, as if sounding an alarm for the invisible power approaching them.
"Why won't it stop?!" Sai hissed, trying to steady his grip on the blade.
"It has sensed the presence of its prey; that is what this means, Sai. Don't you remember what the Nobas told us?" Izuma said, looking up at the sky.
The temperature in the air plummeted instantly. As they breathed, white mist escaped their lips. The forest became deathly silent, as if it had perished. Not even a whisper of wind stirred the leaves.
Suddenly...
The darkness in front of them began to crack open slowly. Not a single sound was made. Breaking through that absolute silence, two blue flames flickered to life in the distance.
Those were... his... eyes...
REY... THE.. ZEK.
Rey walked out from between the trees with agonizing slowness. With every step he took, the grass and plants around him turned a sickly blue. They were withering away where he stepped. There was no emotion on his face only a cold, cruel expression, like that of a corpse.
Even the air seemed to recoil in fear along the path he walked. From his right palm, a thick blue mist flowed down, hugging the ground.
"That...!!!" Sai stood frozen in shock.
"Rey... he is the one we have been searching for," Izuma said, tightening his grip on his sword.
"A Zek... is he really this powerful?" Sai whispered.
"Sai, our fear is their victory. Do not be afraid," Izuma cautioned.
"Who's afraid? That fear is for you. Whatever happens today, I must destroy him," Sai declared, standing ready with his sword.
"You can't!!!" Izuma blocked him.
Sai glared at him.
"Sai, I know your haste, but you must look at your own condition. Not a single spark of power has awakened in your sword yet. And your leg... do I even need to say it? He will kill you."
Only then did Sai remember his disadvantage.
"I have to destroy him. Do not stop me!"
Izuma said nothing more.
Rey came to a halt right in front of them. He said nothing. But his mere presence felt like a crushing weight had been placed upon the area. The energy inside their swords began to race with increasing velocity.
"Rey!!!" Izuma gripped his blade.
Rey slowly tilted his head. The mark on his neck was glowing with a deep, malevolent blue flame. As Rey raised his hand toward the sky, a thunderous boom shattered the forest's silence.
That sound shook the entire woods. Without any warning, he spoke his first words. His voice was enough to make one's very soul tremble:
"Are you ready to die?!!!"
